...I hope he learned from last week. This isn't meant to be a bash Kiffin's play calling thread, but there are certain routes that I really hope we don't call. For example, the deep out... very bad route for a QB who stares down receivers. If we're gonna go deep, I hope we go fade, much less likely to be picked, especially in single coverage.
Its going to be imperative for us to get Crompton rolling with some easy completions, screens, etc. If the gators are stacking the box there will be opportunities. I'm hoping we can quickly move to some quick slants (that aren't batted down at the LOS, lol) and then play action, should really help with keeping the run blitzes at bay.
Bottom line, Kiffin has to be smart in the play calling, got to protect Crompton's psyche. We absolutely can not throw a pick early in this game, especially on our side of the field. Got to call this one well to have a chance.
