What exactly is Kiffin's personality? In other words, why is it that recruits apparently flock to him like Noah and Hamilton spent several hours with him in Dallas when he could have been looking for Chuck Norris. I haven't been able to find anything positive about him through a simple google search. Since he really didn't show much in his press conference yesterday and I'm so unfamiliar with him, I'd appreciate any insight y'all might have. I'm not trying to knock him, but just trying to figure out whether he has as much personality as Cutcliffe or if he's a little more like a Les Miles/Mike Gundy.

I know someone who met Kiffin once, and didn't really like him. I didn't really understand why he didn't like Kiffin, and I don't put a whole lot of stock in his opinion anyways, so I'm not really sure why I'm posting this.

i met him last night at the marlon brown b-ball game, he was awesome. looked like a movie star, i thought he may be a little bit arrogant, but he wasn't at all. if i didn't know any better, i would have thought he has been a vol for life. he will make us proud again. by the way, brown will be coming here next year.

As much personality as Cutcliffe?

Impossible. Nobody has as much personality as Cutcliffe.

You must be referring to him after he had to calm down after his quadruple heart bypass. I was referring to him prior to 2004.

Ah, I see.

Well, then, in order for me to appropriately describe Kiffin's personality, I'll need for you to clarify whether you'd like to know about Kiffin's personality today, or Kiffin's personality in 2004.

I think his youth has a lot to do with his ability to recruit. It would be hard for a kid to look at him and think he was out of touch because of age.

If this staff comes together the way many think it will, UT will be a recruiting force to the highest degree.

Go Vols!

2004..let's see. That would have been prior to his youngest child's birth, so based on personal experience, that would have meant that he would have been significantly less irritable.

Despite the good looks, track record, and pedigree, I thought he seemed a little geekish (for lack of a better term), only instead of Dungeons and Dragons, he obsesses on football. It must have been something in the nervous pacing or pounding the podium... a little OCD, maybe?
