:fireworks::fireworks::fireworks:The Crompton's must have video on Lane doing naughty things...what else could justify this insanity? JC's bad play, and Kiff's insistence on his continued play, has made UT College football's national embarassment...I can not remember when the media has loved to level a program and a new coach more...they are piling on since Lane shot his mouth off about Urban, that pissed off a lot of football people...so Crompton gives them the perfect opportunity to slam Kiffin, by questioning AGAIN! his JUDGEMENT!..when have you ever seen every ESPN analysts continue to editorialize Kiff's decision is too KEEP PLAYING CROMPTON...Mark May said he would have given him the hook after the 1st half of Auburn...Reese said you have to question Kiff's judgement for not only continuing to play Crompton, but how in general Kiff made the consicous decision to "frame the new Tenneseee program with controversy," refering to the comments about Meyer...I am sure the UT athletic department is questioning Kiff's PR skills by now...let alone his maturity and of course his DECISION MAKING...this has turned into a multi million dollar PR debacle! WH

From personally going to many practices this year I don't know where people come off thinking Crompton is amazing in practice. He sucks just as bad as he does in game situations, trust me. He is still better than Stephens though.

I remember the good ole days of Andy Kelly, Shuler, Peyton, heck Jeff Francis for that matter, hitting players in stride... I guess watching this will make '11 and '12 that much sweeter...

interesting qb stat site... I notice he has a nice feature that highlight active players in yellow... doesn't seem to need it right now.. :eek:lol:

I doubt Stephens transfers, because he has a shot at starting next year, especially if Bray doesn't put on enough weight this summer.

If Stephens wants to play on Saturday, he should practice better throughout the week. It's not complicated....if you suck in practice, don't expect to have your number called during the game.

I respectfully disagree in this case. Not at this point. It is blatantly obvious that this has NOTHING to do with who is better at JACK. I just cannot accept that ANYTHING is worse. No matter what Kiff says, at this point he HAS to know it. This is something outside of any performance in any format

Well to use some of this Bazaro Logic....

If Kiffin is saying JC is the starter because he "has a better" practice" yet never materializes come gameday.....

Then using that logic, one would assume if Stephens has a so-so practice then he would do good come gameday.....

By the way didn't Fulmer say the exact samething about JC last year that he won the starting job by having "great practices" and didn't we see the same result? Are we stuck in some weird timewarp or Twilight Zone......

I just don't think one is substantially better than the other. Thus there is no real reason for him to switch. At least that is what I think Kiffin thinks. There really is no upside to the switch and potential for downside.

Some of you guys here think you know everything and you suspect CLK is in a conspiracy to keep Stephens from playing. Everything from CLK doesn't want NS to may him look bad, to CLK doesn't want Stephens playing to scare off recruits. You know the excuse of Stephens plays better in a game then in a practice or look how good Stephens performed in the WKU game, evidentally did not impress the staff. It seems like every year we have discussions like this, last year it was about the 3 QB's and who should be starting to pull Foster he is losing games. Then 2 yrs ago everyone was saying Ainge should be benched and play Crompton. Next year it will be Kiffin is not playing Bray because he is afraid of scaring off recruits.

We may or may not see NS his year, doesn't really matter to me because neither has ever proved they can win in this league to me. Last year everyone was screaming for all the quarterbacks to play and the staff did it, memory serves me right that did not turn out very well.

It is refreshing to see a coach who will not bow down to the fans for a QB change. That shows he is in charge and he is the one responsible for the outcome. If the evidence was so overwhelming in NS favor he would be playing, the sooner people accept it, the sooner the blame game ends. Just so everyone is clear, I am not a Crompton or a Stephens supporter, I am a Vols supporter and feel I need to stand behind the new coach and support him for the next 2 yrs.

Well it may all turn around this week with GU and I hope it does, but it hasn't exactly turned out that well this year either.. Just saying..

Hell I'm all for putting Nuke back there or Berry.. Let's just change it up for 1 quarter and see what happens..:cray: please just one..
