.... is that Crompton looks better in practice. But he hasn't let Stephens play 1 down this year in a game. So how can Kiffin assume Crompton is better than Stephens in a game? If Kiffin is going by last year, then that doesn't make sense either. Both QB's were bad, and Crompton played more than Stephens in 2008. Stephens probably won't do any better, but why not find out? Don't use that tired excuse of trying to build up Crompton's confidence. That ship has sailed. If nothing else happens, at least Stephens will have some experience, since it looks like he is our QB next year. As it stands now, I wouldn't blame Stephens for telling Kiffin to kiss his ass,and leaving for another school.

This could probably be dumped into one of the 493 other Stephens-is-Better conspiracy threads...but, I'll play...

If Stephens wants to play on Saturday, he should practice better throughout the week. It's not complicated....if you suck in practice, don't expect to have your number called during the game.

You earn playing time during practice.

If NS is best, then why isn't he playing?

(PS - NS will be 3rd on the depth chart next year)

I'm actually surprised at this point that no one has used Stephens' 4-4 performance against WKU as reason for him to be playing.

He played mop up duty in the WKU game, looked like a stud, 4 for 4 for 44 yards. His QB rating is like 190+.

just say'n.......

Something tells me that Kiffin would not care at all if Stephens left after this season...

UT Martin will take him. Then you can brag about how great his stats are next year.

Yep...and if Cromp hadn't tossed 5 touchdowns against WKU, I might be impressed with Stephens' 4 completions.

I've seen that argument used multiple times, and not in sarcasm.

And apparently it's been used again in this thread. I didn't know that until it was quoted though, because UT's#1Moron is on the ignore list.

If you are going by track record against sub-par competition, then clearly THE LAMA must start (Lamaison)
