Looks like Rucker just wrote a direct quote EB said on the media stage after the game. Maybe I missed something?

Chatty's columnist Mark Wiedmer has been critical of Crompton, but he's always hated the Vols. Rucker and Paschall and the other guys have just called it like it was, IMO. Crompton hadn't done anything against a good team the last two years until yesterday. That's a fact, right?

How do you figure that? The quote was in storys in multiple newspapers, not just in Rucker's artice or on his twitter

I'd love it if the VOLS would go stomp on that damned gator in gainesboro in a couple of years... Of course we better have the team to back it up.

The Titans stomping on the terrible towel was kinda OK too... Just kids being enthusiastic and energetic... but ya better have the horsepower behind it.. or you look foolish.

I like Kiffin's desire to fire up the team. I wish they could have kept this in the locker room with the team and not public knowledge. Kiffin is giving other teams a lot of motivation against us.

Let's face it guys, this is a non-issue! Beating Georgia is really no big deal...we have done it for years and probably will continue to for years to come. Get used to it. They should be the ones to get excited if they happen to stumble into a win against us every 10 or 15 years.

oh no doubt i'm the same way. my coach's personality was more on the lines of fulmer. he was quiet, didn't like to mix it up. he wld take shots and nvr say anything. don't get me wrong tho, my coach was actually good.

What Kiffin said was that he didn't "pretend" to know a great deal about UTs history, not that he didn't "intend" to know much. The video was on the WBIR or the WATE site last night. If you listen closely, it's clear what he said.

i may have heard incorrectly, but i think that this article is a misquote perhaps trying to fuel the CLK fire some more (like saying that he "guaranteed" a victory over UF, while those who heard the pressor knew that was not what he said).

The thing that kills me, and I have never heard anyone else mention this, is that Kiffin never said that we would beat Florida THIS YEAR. My understanding of the quote is "Sing Rocky Top all night after we beat Florida." Time and date is TBA, IMHO.
