I'd hire kiffin again so long has he has a huge buyout should he decide to leave again. He's a great OC and can recruit. I'd hire him long before I'd hire Les Miles or most anybody else. I don't care anymore that he left us for Southern Cal--yea, it was a dick move, but that was his dream job.

If Kiffin was hired again, there would have to be a $50 million buyout in his clause, and SGM would have to (get to) press all his clothes.

I just saw a youtube video where Clay Travis talked about this exact thing. He made some good points and also said that Lane's teams looked better coached than any of Butchs teams.

Lane couldn't do squat at USC. They didn't even give him a ride home after firing him.

At Alabama, let's face it - he had a larger pool of better talent to work with (we have great talent, just not the depth of 'bama) AND Butch almost beat them in their back yard last year with less talent.

Plus, UT hasn't paid off their credit bill at Mattress Warehouse after his last exit. AND he's a douchebag.

I agree. Kiffin is a awesome O coordinator, but I dont think hes a head coach. Same goes for coach O. IMO I think LSU took a huge chance that's going to come back to bite them in a couple of seasons!

Plus on Kiffin, who couldnt look good at O coordinator with the stacked talent Bama has on offense!?

I think he's grown and learned a lot since his dumb days at UT and his failures at USC. I think he'll become a great coach one day... So hell ya, I'd take him back. And I hope he's the first coach UT talks to after Butch leaves/gets fired.

Negative. Mike Hamilton, aka the Tennessee athletics destroyer, was responsible for the entire situation. Both by not having a realistic buyout for Kiffin, and then not being able to (or maybe not trying to) convince a real coach to replace him.

He couldn't win at USC, why would we want to give him another try here? Good OC, needs supervision, close supervision.

You Sir, feeling as you do should seriously consider turning in all your Orange for that ugly Crimson color & root for your favorite wanna be coach....I could coach 5star talent & look like a genius too..

If I forget what he did to UT, I see where people come up with this. And some school, somewhere will give Lane a shot thinking he's learned something under Saban and forgetting his complete and utter failures as a head coach.

That school will not be UT.

Its not really limited to Vol fans, what people are willing to do or overlook in a desperate attempt to win is beyond me. You actually have a limited number of LSU fans wanting this clown for OC. Granted, I think he is a good play caller, generally, but to me you have to be either oblivious to his past/presents or insane.
