Kiffin

Anyone who's seriously considering Kiffin for a HC needs their head examined. The guy got fired from USC for a damn reason folks. He's a hell of a OC but there's no reason for Tennessee to hire him back unless you want to look like desperate fools.

Only real hire is Gruden :hi:

I'll say this about kiffin. He has learned a lot under Saban and probably has grown up a lot as well. He needed a mentor to succeed as a head coach and he got one. I think where ever kiffin ends up, he will be a good head coach now... Tennessee probably will never hire him.

Pete Carroll wasn't a good enough mentor? You certainly know more about football than anyone else on VN ever could but we really don't know if Kiffin has matured or not because Saban doesn't allow his assistants to speak to the media. "Joey Freshwater" rose to fame from his time in Alabama after all.

This is retarded. He did wonders with a depleted roster for his one year here.

He went 7-6 with losses to terrible UCLA and Auburn teams and that depleted roster included the Thorpe award winner... but your immature and inappropriate use of the "r" word is noted.

Call me crazy if you want but this guy can recruit & coach. So he left Tennessee for his dream job, I can't blame him for that. Like him or not he is a winner. Lets kiss and make up & hire a real coach Lane Kiffin. Look at him at Alabama, taken the offense to a different level. You want to win hire Lane. JMO

well thanks, but he's not coming back

He had walk ons on the offensive line and a QB that had shown no proof he deserved to play in the SEC.

I used it where appropriate.

He did not beat a single team that season with more talent than he had... and was trashed by Ole Miss and Virginia Tech.

Georgia and south Carolina were better. Or were the running out walk on offensive lineman also?

Georgia went 8-5 and South Carolina went 7-6 in 2009... If anything, they were about even in talent and both of those games were at home.

Kiffin...HECK NO! That's like taking back your ugly ex-girlfriend who slept with your best friend.

But if she gets you where you want to go then you swallow your pride and take that b!tch back, buy her another ring, and smile and act grateful to have her back.

Sometimes I hate technology because it gives access to the masses that shouldn't have access. This ****ing place is out of control.

Apparently John Brice tonight said Blackburn would hire Fulmer in an ambassador role and Kiffin had let it be known that he messed up here and wished he could get another shot.
