Kiffin would have beat Georgia!

However he didn't beat Washington or Stanford and there are no depth or talent issues at usc, things are going to get ugly in southern cal this year for kiffykins. Just sayin...

Lost by a combined 3 points to 2 good staffs. We got blown out by Mike Bobo!

They only have 70 scholarship players? They've been inhibited by the turnover with the staff, and the sanctions enough to where winning 9 or 10 games this year was going to be a problem to start with.

The team was 8-4 last year, so it's not like Kiffin inherited a national title team. USC will most likely end up this season the same as they did last year. Doesn't mean that Kiffin's a bad coach though.

To act like their severely outmatched in the Pac-10 is silly. They weren't impressive in their OOC games at all. Virginia at home, at Minnesota, come on.

Rumor had it Richt was calling the plays. But that's neither here nor there, losing is losing. If you love the guy so much go get a USC jersey. Kiffin may have beaten Georgia, may not have, you act like it's fact. You think Stanford losing a heisman candidate at rb last year is more talented than the paid athletes at USC, how about that vastly underachieving Husky team are they?

Plus I thought Kiffin summoned the greatest coaches from around the universe to complete the greatest staff ever assembled. They should never lose. They may have been at a disadvantage since Orgeron's foot is rotting off...

agreed. There are issues and motivation has to be one of them. Defense is surprisingly awful.

Nope look back at my posts, had us at 5 wins maybe 6 if we upset someone. I was laughing at those who had us winning 8, one guy said 10!!!!

Sorry not me! I am realistic which is why I saying I don't see attention to detail by this staff. I'm not going to just blinding say this staff is great and ignore the non-roster issues that are coming up!!!!

No, that's kitty's rictum your seeing so clearly. Get your head out of it and you will see that kitty didn't have to play near as many freshmen as CDD.

I was waiting to post this until after everybody calmed down after Saturday. I am slowly losing faith in the coaching staff. Last year Georgia did not cross the Tennessee 30-yard against us and this year we turn that mediocre Offensive coaching staff at Georgia into the best in the country with a freshman QB.

Put your anger towards Kiffin aside, last year's staff does not lose that game! Dooley seems over his head and I'm afraid we are in trouble people. I hope I'm wrong but seriously we have no reason to lose to Georgia like that who I think has one of the worst coaching staffs in the SEC (See 45-19 last year).

Too many or too few men on the field for 3 straight games (I bet that has never happened before)? UAB got drilled 42-7 by a mediocre UCF team and they took us to OT! Worst Neyland stadium loss! We are going to be 2-6 heading into October. Thought I would never see the day!

Haha, well thanks for hanging in there and giving this coaching staff a whopping 6 games before starting to lose faith.:eek:hmy:

Your giving way to much credit to a guy who was fired after one year, left another school after one year and has already lost two games this year. And usc does have better talent than we do. And he will more than likely lose a couple of more games and then we will see how much usc loves their coach.

Don't understand what happened to Askew he was 5* kid?
I heard he doesn't take it seriously, which is a shame, because if he did he'd be starting. Who knows, though. Maybe he's getting it done in the classroom. If thats the case, there's no shame in that.

Oops. Missed the context of the argument. Yes, USC's defense should be much better as well. I don't think they buy in.

I think Monte had some stature here in Knoxville. To those guys on the west coast he may just be another old geezer. They certainly don't seem motivated or impressed for that matter.

Yeah I agree, hope he is taking advantage of the scholarship in the classroom....

GO AWAY!!!! This forum has gotten WAY to negative!!! Do you people NOT think that our players get on here and read our posts!!! If we don't have faith do you think they will?? The reason we are in this situation is because of LK, if he was still here, it would be 10 times as bad. If you are gonna jump off the wagon everytime things don't go our way, you might as well be a bammer!! Dooley is the future of this team and he will get us there!!

Yup, it sure did, yet USC has more talent than probably anyone else in the Pac-10, and can't win it. That's pretty sad as well.

Go look at their recruiting classes and get back to me.

So will Tennessee be a talented team when all those "high character 3 stars" are shown as DD's recruiting classes?

You can't have it both ways.

Yep, Kiffy's great.
Here's a post from the USC board.

This defense demands a nickname....
What should it be?

They can't tackle. They are undisciplined. They make knucklehead decisions. They give up any and everything on third down. They are lost and clueless. They are immature. They are not tough. They cannot string out a play to the outside. They make no interceptions. They ARE the deer in the headlights.......They are the antithesis of "The Wild Bunch"

Yep, losing two first round draft picks and solid players in Wes Brown and Dennis Rogan, to go with an all SEC linebacker on defense and all five starting offensive linemen, quarterback, and 1300 yard running back does not count for anything. We should totally hate on Derek Dooley. Down with Dooley!

-PS
I am a student at UTC and we can have practice with a 2 deep and scout team every day. Have you not heard the coaching staff's concerns about needing to restructure practice because they can't even hold this standard form of practice? These things add up and it's only a matter of time before lack of depth, inexperience, and lack of talent show.
