Kiffin would have beat Georgia!

This thread says a lot about our fanbase, can't be patient and has no clue how we got here in the first place. Typical UT fans.

Might have won and most likely put up a better fight. Roster would have been better had they stayed and of course there would be system continuity. Definitely not a lock as we'd still be depending on freshmen to save the OL and more freshmen to save the DL.

I will say this.

I miss the Kiffin staff's emphasis on discipline. fewer penalties, the right amount of people on the field, and although we struggled immensely against the spread last year, our players knew their assignments more often than not. there is a talent deficit and less senior leadership. however, if not physically, mentally this team and staff should be improving. they currently are not.

I also preferred his offense, FWIW.

Yes of course Kiffin had some positive qualities. Unfortunately there were far too many negative qualities overshadowing Kiffin's good side.

It should be noted we'd be in a pretty similar situation had Fulmer stayed behind. All the 2009 OL recruits were serious busts. We'd still have Aaron Douglas, but does Phil move him to OL? And if Phil keeps Adkins on the OL it wouldn't matter.

What is happening now is that people who place unrealistic expectations on this season are crashing to earth. We are exactly what we are. Sure, they've had problems getting the right packages on the field...with a bunch of freshmen that should have been redshirted but had to play because we were so depleted. It's called immaturity. There's a reason Fulmer didn't play freshmen much, because they're inexperienced and immature. They get frazzled. They panic. They get wide-eyed.

There's no orange tint here, just seeing exactly what it is...Dooley needs time. Wilcox needs time. I'm not even going to be concerned when we don't recruit as well as other schools in the SEC this year. We're having to recruit needs, not extravagance. It's not going to be a sexy class, but that's because we need some big uglies. THIS WILL NOT BE A WINNING PROGRAM UNTIL WE RESTORE OUR DEPTH ON BOTH LINES. We can neither run nor pass until the line is able to be experienced and enter the 4th quarter without being winded.

I was waiting to post this until after everybody calmed down after Saturday. I am slowly losing faith in the coaching staff. Last year Georgia did not cross the Tennessee 30-yard against us and this year we turn that mediocre Offensive coaching staff at Georgia into the best in the country with a freshman QB.

Put your anger towards Kiffin aside, last year's staff does not lose that game! Dooley seems over his head and I'm afraid we are in trouble people. I hope I'm wrong but seriously we have no reason to lose to Georgia like that who I think has one of the worst coaching staffs in the SEC (See 45-19 last year).

Too many or too few men on the field for 3 straight games (I bet that has never happened before)? UAB got drilled 42-7 by a mediocre UCF team and they took us to OT! Worst Neyland stadium loss! We are going to be 2-6 heading into October. Thought I would never see the day!

Look at Monte kiffin's defense at USC this year and tell me that. USC has way more talent than us and looks just as bad at times.

If that is not alarming boy you have your head in the sand...

Kinda like people who expected a good year from us, right?

I have found that our fanbase is spoiled. We enjoyed a fair amount of success and now we are spoiled and don't have the patience to let the program work it's way out of a huge funk. Six games does not a coaching legacy make.

Nope look back at my posts, had us at 5 wins maybe 6 if we upset someone. I was laughing at those who had us winning 8, one guy said 10!!!!

Sorry not me! I am realistic which is why I saying I don't see attention to detail by this staff. I'm not going to just blinding say this staff is great and ignore the non-roster issues that are coming up!!!!

Get real. Georgia talent level at this point is far superior to ours. Georgia is always in the top 10 on Rivals and Scout for national recruiting. Everything on offense starts with the OL and we just can't get it done right now. Why do you think the line was TN + 12.

Of course a Kiffin coached team would have beat Georgia last weekend, it's an indisputable fact.

Screw Kiffin. Love this team and staff. We're young and dumb but we'll get better.

Not sure if he would have or not. Whomever the coach was going to be was in for a down season. Bottom line it talent pool is shallow.

It wouldn't have been as good as last year, but we would have had more players on both lines, and most likely would have had better linebackers. (Did Taylor decommit before Kiffin left?) Plus we would have Ahmad Dixon, and there was a 4 star CB who went to Georgia that we were in. Who knows? Plus Monte had their offense figured out.

Plus, psychologically, I think we'd be a much stronger team.

However he didn't beat Washington or Stanford and there are no depth or talent issues at usc, things are going to get ugly in southern cal this year for kiffykins. Just sayin...
