I was waiting to post this until after everybody calmed down after Saturday. I am slowly losing faith in the coaching staff. Last year Georgia did not cross the Tennessee 30-yard against us and this year we turn that mediocre Offensive coaching staff at Georgia into the best in the country with a freshman QB.

Put your anger towards Kiffin aside, last year's staff does not lose that game! Dooley seems over his head and I'm afraid we are in trouble people. I hope I'm wrong but seriously we have no reason to lose to Georgia like that who I think has one of the worst coaching staffs in the SEC (See 45-19 last year).

Too many or too few men on the field for 3 straight games (I bet that has never happened before)? UAB got drilled 42-7 by a mediocre UCF team and they took us to OT! Worst Neyland stadium loss! We are going to be 2-6 heading into October. Thought I would never see the day!

Not sure if he would have or not. Whomever the coach was going to be was in for a down season. Bottom line it talent pool is shallow.

Hold up. After Saturday you've come to the conclusion that we're in trouble?

I think Coach Kiffin having two first rd NFL draft picks on defense, a 1000 yd rusher, an experienced offensive line and an experienced qb helped a little last year. Coach Dooley doesn't have that luxury this year.

Big Difference..... Monte Kiffin had Eric Berry, Dan Williams, and Dennis Rogan. All experienced players.

Lane had a senior QB in Crompton, great RB Hardesty and a better experienced OL.

GO AWAY!!!! This forum has gotten WAY to negative!!! Do you people NOT think that our players get on here and read our posts!!! If we don't have faith do you think they will?? The reason we are in this situation is because of LK, if he was still here, it would be 10 times as bad. If you are gonna jump off the wagon everytime things don't go our way, you might as well be a bammer!! Dooley is the future of this team and he will get us there!!

That's debatable.

no. currently USC ranks 116th in pass defense, and 100th on total defense in FBS.
other than #16 stanford, 5 other teams they played are one of the worst teams.

at the end of last year Kiffin was setting people up for this year by saying we would be really down. statement was made at the end of the bowl game last year. he saw what was going to happen, he knew we would have a losing record. thats why he bolted, stop giving him the benefit of doubt. no one would've had a winning record with this team, no one!

if this is a hypothetical assumption it is also fair to assume ole miss would hand us our asses again too. stupid post.

I think some people start these threads to see just how absurd their thoughts actually look like in words........makes no sense.

Details Vol fans, you are missing the smalls things. The second Kiffin is mentioned everybody goes off the deep end. I am simply saying there are little issues that are occurring that should not be. Just being blind and saying Dooley is going to turn it around is simply silly. Why are you so sure? 2-6? We have NEVER not won at least 5! Our roster might not be great but schemes, 13 men, 10 men, etc.....details. Not being negative, just being real and honest....I'm just not sure about this staff, that's all!

Last year is just that, can we please stop living in the past. Kiffy boy is not doing so well this year with a heck of a lot better talent pool. Bottom line is you have no way of knowing what he would or would not have done because he LEFT, which set into motion a whole series of events.

Sorry to mentioned Kiffin again, but we were headed for a Top 5 recruiting class last year (We are #24, #11 SEC right now). CDD did a great job to keep it together so who know sour depth could be better had Kiffin not screwed us and leave.....

I know it's confusing because our kids have at times over performed against great competition this year.
Dooley has been straight with you from the get go.
He told you, 'We're not a good football team'.
That's probably a monumental understatement out of courtesy to his team.
