I think you hit on the thing that bothers me most. I live in Dawg country and I was constantly having to defend him. I didn't mind because he was my coach and wanted to give him a chance but.. now I feel kind of cheap!

In Lane's presser, he said that he left the program in better shape than he found it........ Yet another whopper of a lie to add to his collection. This guy is really good at being a d-bag.

1 recruiting class--UT will lose a few--not the end of the world. UT can bring in a top coach after doing a national search in 2010---possibly the coach at TCU or Boise State, who would take the UT job in a heartbeat: more money, best facilities in the SEC, tons of great recruits all over the south, tradition, location.....Things will be OK!!!!

i'm still completely shocked by this. a few days i ago i said this would never happen and never would have believed it would have. huge douche move on kiffin's part and that's an understatement to even say that. i hope he falls flat on his face at usc and gets hit head on by sanctions along with it. somebody that would do what he did to his recruits here and the football program as a whole is just a scum coach.

problem is there's not going to be time to organize a full on search party for coaching availabilites. tennessee has to act fairly fast in this kind of situation.

An interim coach for 1 year is OK--then hire a top coach. Hopefully, they don't rush out and hire anyone available, just to get some coach in place. UT must think long term.

Is Kiffin still the coach at USC? I would have thought he would have left them by now. It has been almost 8 hours afterall.

I cannot wish Kiffin anything but bad luck! He has shown his true colors. He probably does not want to sing Rocky Top all night long now.

This was not a good way to start my day. :mad: I hope the kids turn on him and see this as a character issue. In reality, he is being loyal to the school that he loved. I still hate the bas---d. I can just hear the I told you so's from the SEC fans. They are signing up for a vn account as we speak. I just hope this doesn't stand as a historical downturn for the program.

Don't look now, but for all Fulmer headhunters and Kiffin worshipers, I think it just did.

Here's hoping you guys find a coach who can restore both the winning tradition, and more importantly, the class, you had in the 90's.

BTW, I like that there have been a total of 2 apologies to OntheRow after half this board pasted him as a troll and called for him to be banned. You guys really know how to treat your own.
