Lane Kiffin, newly-named head football coach at University of Tennessee at Knoxville, will be the keynote speaker for a fund-raiser breakfast to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland April 20.
Kiffin was named head coach on Dec. 1, 2008, by UTK Athletic Director Mike Hamilton.
Following the breakfast, Coach Kiffin will spend some one-on-one time with local club members and fans.
The breakfast will be held at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland's newly renovated Gymnasium and is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
Garry Rodgers, board president, noted, "We are very excited that Lane Kiffin has both accepted the head football coach position and decided to come to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland to personally share about the future of the UTK football program."
He added, "We are very fortunate to be friends with people like Brenda Lawson and Sandra Rowland, of Lawson and Associates who deeply care about our community and were instrumental in getting Coach Kiffin to come to the Boys and Girls Club."
Tickets, which are a $50 donation per person, may be obtained by calling Beth Kinsey at 559-8299 or mailing a check to Beth Kinsey, c/o Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, 385 3rd St. S.W., Cleveland, TN., 37311.
