He's used to the national media, but just learning the local media. That would take some adjustment. I wonder if John Adams wore orange overalls to his UT conference to throw him off a bit?

I thought he did a very good job in his presser to address the local media by name and get to know them. You can see he is very intelligent and knows how to work every angle.

ESPN asked the question about 'why Tennessee' since Kiffin was mentioned in so many other coaching searches.

About the same answer as the UT conference. We're by far the best!


He talked a lot about recruiting, hitting the ground running, and a lot of ground to make up.

He said he was considering other people and that he'd interview his dad, but the staff would eventually come together. No speculation on dad given two questions.

Also, asked about pressure for winning at UT and Kiffin praised the passion UT fans have for the game.
