I think that Kiffin is Tennessee's Obama! Fans wanted change, something different from Fulmer (Bush). So we got Kiffin...the risky choice the "ehhh were not TOO sure about this guy" choice! Yea I had an epiphany about this...kinda crazy right? or have i had too much rum tonight?

Still being brainwashed by Fulmer I see, nice. Also, how many years HC experience did Fulmer have when he took over?? The same thing happened to Fulmer as what happened to Majors ironically. Thing is, Fulmer knew of his demise for the rest of the season and still had to coach it. That's true poetry right there.

what's it matter, Kiffin doesn't have the experience of Gruden, Smith, Davis..and that's a fact, but he's our coach

I'm trying, it's just hard to get excited about getting our 4th or 5th pick as a HC
I had higher expectations

So, that somehow makes him more capable of controlling a team than anyone else?? You need to take your bitter butt and hide under a rock for awhile and get over yourself so you can look at the picture without getting upset your boy is out.

you are really stretching with the 4th or 5th pick garbage.

Gruden, Smith and Cowher were just people on Hamilton's list to see if they were interested. He knew full well the likelihood of one of them coming was extremely doubtful. I would say he really thought he could go after Butch, but when it came down to it, we got our 2nd guy.

I think someone with more experience and the same potential would have a greater chance of success

If experience and past performance wasn't a factor, why would Hamilton go after

Gruden
Cowher
Davis
Smith


before settling on Kiffin

The only one on that list we "went after" so to speak on that list is Davis. We just gauged the interst of the other guys and were quickly shot down. Even I know that Gruden and the other's were a pipedream.

How do you know he was the 4th or 5th legitimate pick? Please don't say Cowher or Gruden, we knew they were the pie in the sky dreams.

I think our #1 choice was Butch Davis. I have no idea why he didn't come, but my hypothesis is that he contended for the ACC title this year, his 2nd year, and sees the path of least resistance to a BCS game and NC is in the weak ACC. If that's the case, then it's a smart move by Butch, and Ican't fault him for that.

Leach? I don't think there was much of an interest on our part.

Kelly? Lukewarm interest.

I think Hamilton has been high on Kiffin from day 1.
