I think the rumors are true TN was offered kiffin n Tee
Its on YouTube and twitter

Kiff and Tee offered by UT? So, this administration turned them down? Just...NAW...pixie dust...but, again, we are talking about this administration...so...:)

I think it's time to define "administration." The issue is the tie between Haslam and Currie. I've become convinced that Davenport/DiPietro are doing their best to block them while "booster X" (and team X) works on the coaching vacancy. There are several threads about the backroom struggles and I believe that is the basis of the current situation.

I hope not. I believe the end is coming. Skeeter said that "an AD employee" released the Schiano leak. SOMEBODY allowed it. SOMEBODY did not approve Brohm deal. SOMEBODY met with the Board of Trustees. SOMEBODY has Fulmer contacting coaches. SOMEBODY put a package together for 2 popular choices that were rejected by Haslam/Currie.

Witch Doctor say not to flood the board but we got to be active early this morning. Witch Doctor worried they will rush a bad announcement to try to stamp down momentum of Kiffin

Never thought Gruden was an option at UT. So I missed last night's fest...Sorry, but I am weary of this train wreck. Keep rattling them bones, Witchy. :hi:

Pretty sure the rumor was agent Jimmy Sexton offered the combo of kiffin as head coach Martin as OC and Steele as DC, the admin flat rejected it.

Per Donte :"I can confirm reports of Lane (HC) Tee (OC) and Steele (DC) were offered as a package deal and was turned down"

Insanity from our athletic department. That package would have made me happy from the very beginning of things! We need to keep raising hell with the AD until it gets done! Call them! (865) 974-1224! Tell them we want Kiffin/Martin!

that's all fine well and good....and i agree with you.

but these somebodies are going to have to start identifying themselves and going public.

it's obvious the "crazy tn fan" narrative isn't going anywhere any time soon. too easy to push, and w/out an alternative narrative, get ready...we're the ones responsible for the ills of Tennessee Athletics for the last decade.

and throw Jimmy Sexton's name that hat, which really complicates things seeing as how he represents so many people and has made most of them very rich.

that guy has some insulation.........i'd be curious to know how many people, especially former athletes/coaches, that currently work at ESPN (or any national media outlet that covers college football) have, or have had, any relationship with Sexton.

they've (the media) finally hit a fan base that's fed up enough to just not give a crap what people think anymore. and aside from a select few morons with a keyboard, or some spray paint, i think most fans and signing out of the same hymnal at this point.

but it wont' matter unless you get some of the other big money boosters, or some others with any kind of stick at the UTAD to come out and just call this ting for what it is......

and my money probably says everyone keeps their mouth shut, and we're in for another decade of "who gives a crap".

Some other guy in the comments had thrown that at him first. He then goes away for a few minutes and then comes back saying "I can confirm". Sure you did.

Stallworth just trying to drag a bigger audience for his Trump/Kap agenda.

Tennessee is on the verge of hiring the ACC's Butch Jones and you are going to give a successful coach a hard time because of what he does in his free time? Give me a break.

Kiffin was just on the Sirius radio show with Greg McElroy. As much as I dislike his brash coaching style and some of the antics, I must admit he was pretty damn funny.

I recall Coach Spurrier saying that he went home early and didn't work late. Told his assistants to do the same so they wouldn't be away from their families all the time. He saw no need to work long hours in order so be successful. Can't argue with that because he was beating everyone while they worked 16-18 hour days to no avail. Kiffin knows he's good and his team will be ready to go this weekend. He's also not the OC there. He's letting his assistants work, as he should.
