I honestly think Kiffen wants the job. Maybe he could come and bring his dad as the defensive coordinator.

...while eating a chicken sandwich and buying a house to share w/ spurrier? :birgits_giggle:

seriously though what makes people think this guy can coach college?

What's so weird about it? Sexton represents numerous other head coaches.

Supposedly Hamilton is enamored with him. I hope Hamilton talks or has talked to a number of coaching prospects.

hold up a minute there. Are you saying that once an agent has one client, he doesn't actually stop marketing for more?

Ludicrous, I say.

Well, I don't want to overread it, but signing with Sexton brings us convenience to get in touch with him.

Sexton has also been quoted as saying that many big name or flavor of the year coaches want positsions that aren't as difficult as the SEC. Wih that said...if he represents the coach we get, it makes him (Sexton) look that much better.

Let's see...he learned under Carroll for 6 or 7 yrs. He also was USC's head recruiter the last couple of years and could recruit nationally. He is young and energetic and can relate to the kids. He also would bring his dad...the DC for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Sounds like a good cornerstone to build on.

he can recruit is good; but we havent seen him coach on his own at this level at all...the same can be said for norm chow. And what guarantee do we have that he would bring his dad from the bucs; i dont think ive ever seen that happen

IMO, we should not give the job to anybody who has never been a head coach in college, unless he has been successful in the NFL.

Trueorange asked, "what makes people think he can coach college?". Learning under one of the best coaches in this era, I would think he would probably be a knowledgeable head coach. I am not saying he is a sure fire head coach, but he did have a strong tutelage. It has been reported that wherever he goes, he will bring his dad with him. Also, what guarantee do we have with anybody?! None...
