Kiffin recruiting Tennessee talent

Kiffin also recruited more busts and criminals than we've had in some time. Ran off more depth than we could afford to lose, and the biggest guff of all time...choosing Matt Sims over Cam Newton. He sure likes his California Surfer dudes to be the one behind center.

Regardless of what he thought about Tahj Boyd, the guy was a 5* QB recruit and we were HURTING for QB talent at the time. If he had a good one to replace him, fine...but he didn't, and we suffered mightily because of it.

I hope he runs USC the way he did things here.

I'll preface my post by saying that I in no way believe that Kiffin left USC posters in UTs complex but it baffles me how so many of you respect this degenerate after the way he left the university. Kiffin can recruit because he doesn't follow the rules. The multiple secondary violations with him pushing the envelope should show you that. Hell, USC being on sanctions due to his brand of recruiting should show you that.

Truth is, Kiffin is a weasel and a snakeoil salesman living off of his daddy's name and Big Drunk Idiot Cajun Boy's recruiting techniques(telling EE on UT phones to not go to class and sit out a year so they can go to USC). That group is a bunch of used car salesmen, and I hope USC gets hit again, and Kiffie boy spends the rest of his career bouncing from mid major to mid major school. Besides, his words not mine, 'Kids come to schools because of coaches'. Maybe a stop at Idaho State or Montana would prove his theory right.

Kiffin is a toolbox with people around him that make him look better than he is.

I didn't disagree with your post until the above statement. USC's sanctions had nothing to do with recruiting. It was about one player (Bush) accepting benefits from a convicted felon and family friend to LEAVE school early!

OK, a rogue incident from one player at the university. Except for another player in OJ Mayo who accepted gifts as well. While Mayo played basketball, still you are looking at 2 incidents at the same university in a relatively short span of time would incinuate more went on here than 2 random guys at the same universities going in business for themselves.

Not to mention, every school that Eddie O has been at has at the very least underwent an investigation, going back to his days coaching DL for Miami. Both guys are snakes and USC got sanctions due to lack of institutional control. Tells me there was more going on than 2 isolated incidents. All we have read is what USC released from the NCAAs findings. Chances are they didn't tell the whole story.

Why wouldn't the NCAA tell the whole story? That doesn't make any sense. They knew there was going to be an appeal and needed to present their strongest case. No one withholds damaging information like that, it just doesn't make sense.

Sorry, I shouldn't get into this here. Last post on the subject.

I guarantee you don't get hit as hard if you hire someone without ties to the investigation. Not that it's really bothering you all that much. On a side note , want to trade schedules? We need 10 or more wins this season. lol

Quite simple, they are not required to tell the whole story to the media, masses, etc. Only to the university receiving the punishment.

Why do you think very few universities have a blueprint as to how an NCAA investigation works? Truth be told I think the Buckeyes got off light compared to what USC recieved in the way of punishment, unless there was more to the story, of which the NCAA is not required to give.

I really don't want to start anything, but I will simply point out that I disagree with your take that you could win 10 games with our schedule.

I do agree with tOSU's punishment being light. Coaches blatantly lied and were involved in a cover-up. The administration knew about it as well. How is that not LOIC?

And Miami better get hit HARD.

I didn't say we would. Much better chance though.

I want to say that even though I am not a fan of your coach , I never had any issues with SC. Fun team to watch , especially during the Bush years. Most of us are over what happend. This new hate between the two teams is stupid. We weren't mad that Kiffin took his dream job. Just how he went about it. If it was done that way to your team , I'm sure you would feel the same. Anyway , welcome to the board.

I agree. USC and TN fans have no reason to be hostile to each other. USC is just as guilty too, taking shots at TN just to rile them up.

Hopefully I don't get run off too soon, lol.

Nahh,,no hostility. But us UT fans are itching for the day that UT and USC meet. If Kiffin is still your coach, it will be a raucous affair.

Him being the coach is the only reason it would be a big deal. Well that and if we play them for the title some day. Wouldn't matter who the coach would be. If he fails or bails ... SC and Tennessee fans will be friends once again. I remember the jokes they made when we hired him. Goatboy jokes and that the players hated him. The story about Palmer or Leinart almost kicking his ass. Times sure have changed.

You should be ok Absentee. You didn't show up here expecting us all to be friendly. Just keep posting like you are. Respect us and we will do the same.

So someone told you there are/were USC posters in our complex and you believed them???

I remember reading several different stories about Kiffin showing USC highlights on the Neyland Stadium jumbotron. He said that he wanted to turn Tennessee into the "USC of the east." I think it's sort of silly to think that he would use this to recruit at USC, but there may be some truth to the allegation about USC paraphernalia at UT.

Try playing in the SEC. Take it however you like, but you cannot argue SEC dominance atm.
