Kiffin plans to beat Florida

WTF is "loose" to FL? We're not talking about nuts and bolts here.

And yes, a coach may prepare a team for a game, but do you think the WKU coach planned to beat TN? No. He prepared his creampuff team for the game in Knoxville and probably had medics, physical therapists and sports psychologists handy to take care of their post traumatic stress syndrome.

What he means is Kiffin already has the bus route through the strip selected, the after party drinks and the brand of cigar for the post-game celebration picked out.

Wow! You got it! My faith is restored. Getting a point across in here is sometimes like pulling teeth. Beginning to think the bammers were trolling.

If by some slim chance and I stress IF we were to beat the Gators ESPN as we know it today would self destruct and never be the same again. Come to think about it that might not be a bad thing.

Blowing out WKU and blowing out UCLA are completely different.

And you point is??? UF played a cupcake team their first game and then they play another cupcake team this week. UT will be more prepared for this game than FL. UF let charleston southern rack up some good yardage. UF pulling out starters during the second quarter is not going to prepare them for the 19th

Florida is the game! UT beats UCLA easy---I'm not worried there at all. All the focus should be on Florida!!!!!

If so, you have a problem. His focus this week needs to be on UCLA.

Well said.

MikeHamiltonFan is wrong. if we are looking past UCLA for UF than we will in fact, lose, or just barely win, which IMO is as good as a loss. look at last year. look at UF and Ole Miss last year. in the game of football, no one should be taken lightly.

with that said, i highly doubt CLK & Co. are looking past UCLA. it just dosnt seem to fit with their mentality.

Pressure on Tebow and UF to beat Tennessee? :eek:lol:

There was pressure to beat Alabama in the SEC championship game. There was pressure to beat Oklahoma in the BCS title game. Tebow thrives in those situations. You are kidding yourself if you think UF will be feeling any "pressure" from UT coming into their house. You can be assured UF will be playing loose with and with a purpose. There is no pressure to beat a team they have beaten 4 times in a row.

As for your "all the trash talk" coming out of Gainesville...I think you have your cities confused. Matt Patchan was the only Gator player to make any negative comment. There were however several comments made by CK which stirred the pot.
Callin horsecrap on you bud. Spikes would literally explode if he had to keep his mouth closed, and he's not the only one. Pressure? Your team has EVERY advantage in this game and the entire nation knows it, it's even in Gainesville. Your expected to go undefeated and even close victories will be scrutinized as weak chinks in the armor. Your expected to win the national title again irregardless of who shows up in the title game. The Vols have replaced their staff and are aggressive and smart, their energized and motivated and have the players follwing suit. So don't sit there and act like the Vols on their knees are again the sacrificial lamb to the manliness of all things Gator. This team is gonna show up and rip the Gators right in the mouth. Their not gonna allow you an early lead, and follow that up with intimadation tactics aligned with hometown refs...they're gonna control the momentumn and shock the nation, ESPN, SEC, and many of our own fans who are still in Fulmer mode. The Gators have everything to lose and Tennessee has everything to gain...This is Tennessee's opportunity to explode..It's Time!

You act like Florida won't be prepared. You think Tennessee is the only team that really wants to win that game? You think the Florida coaching staff doesn't realize how important the game is for recruiting and continued success in the SEC?

Tennessee might hit Florida in the mouth, but they better be prepared to get hit in the mouth themselves, because Florida isn't just going to lie down and take it.

Wow...those are big words since UT is a 10 point favorite.

One of the biggest reasons to not overlook UCLA is the importance of that game for recruiting purposes. A lot of high school kids in Southern California will tune in to that game. A resounding crushing of the Bruins would bring dividends for years to come.

The thing that worries me about the Florida game is Urban running up the score. I mean I think if Florida can put up 80 he will do it. I really expect the starters to play the entire game no matter what the score is and he will be throwing it and calling timeouts late in the game.

I hope we win but if we keep it within 14 I'll be happy as well

According to 2 bits Florida doesn't respect us enough to break a sweat..we're not worthy of Gator sweat. It would be un manly to admit it's a game worth gearing up for. I take it he doesn't speak for Florida, you do? Tennessee is well aware the Gators are loaded and have the ability to beat anyone...I give you and your team that respect. It's a damn sight better than the Vols and their fanbase have ever got from Florida or it's fanbase, which is reason enough to travel to sunny Florida and ruin your season by showing the Nation the Vols arent only worthy of respect but can kick a lil ass too.

I think we have a much better chance than people give us credit for, and I like that florida is so cocky and sure about a beatdown...

Two factors keep Meyer from running up too many points:

1) Monty's D isn't going to let that happen.

2) If we are successful with our running game, we eat up 5-7 minutes a drive and keep Florida's offense off the field, we hold them under 30. Of course, I expect Florida to put 7 in the box and try and squash the run. A few solid early completions by Crompton are critical here,

All this rah-rah stuff is nice from the standpoint of a fired up fan, and I would certainly be fired up if I were you. That said, you overstate the pressure on UF. They won't be feeling any pressure at home. They are focused, well coached, and will be more than ready to meet the challenge that Tennessee presents.
