Kiffin Petition

Don't understand the Kiffin people. He already left our program high and dry once for USC in the middle of the night and got us NCAA sanctions. Hell, Layla got tired of him. He is an immature ego maniac, but yes he is a great offensive football mind...so many schools would want him as OC but not HC. It doesn't matter because it is not going to happen.

Well, let me try to enlighten you. We went after a coach who had one year at Purdue. What's the difference? Would you walk out tomorrow for your dream job? Tennessee is now his dream job so he can way lay Nick Saban in the SEC. Told him he'd never beat him on the football field.

Kiffin spent 3 years studying Saban's every move. He knows how to beat him.

Kiffin is 10 years older. Does that make any difference to you?

He will wreak hell on Tennessee football for years if he lands in the SEC on another team. He is the next great one.

So would you like a repeat of what the did at FAC in his first year at Tennessee. In the Vol Nation fan poll 90% want him. You must be in the 10%. We would have the most excitement about an upcoming season in our history. For the record, he did this:
East Division Championship
Undefeated in conference play
Received top 25 votes
#1 rushing back in the country with 26 rushing TD's
Top 10 rushing offense
Top 3 in interceptions
Top 10 scoring offense
Top 10 turnover margin
Program single game rushing record
Most points scored in program history

It happened at Florida Atlantic University.

I like all the “THEY CAN HAVE HIM” rhetoric.

Meanwhile, we have zero prospects that are even remotely as good.

Kiffin may not be your first pick for prom date, but damn at least Arkansas is going with someone. We’re smoking clove cigarettes by the dumpster telling ourselves how lame everyone else is.

They are more than welcome to him.

Heck, it will probably weaken bammer along with Fisher at Tamu. More quality opposition in the field, more recruiting competition. I am all for it. :)

Meanwhile in quiet fashion, TaM is done in less than a week. Who knows, if we didn't dig in on Schiano, and used an actual search firm, we could be the ones with a shiny new coach.

It's going to be bitter sweet watching him kick our asses. He could have been ours but old fools and their pride will bring us nothing but future heartache. I don't even care anymore.

Just about there myself. Your One True Love can only poop on you so much, then you gotta let her go.

coach of the biggest underachieving season in history? please, take him

UT football is a sh!t show that may take 4 years just to get to a bowl. Who ever is trying to kill UT football is winning rite now just a wait and see game .

Kiffin in not a great coach. His record at USC says that. He screwed over Tennessee to go to his "dream job" and then got unceremoniously fired after just three seasons. USC was his dream job, not Tennessee. You can assume he tried his absolute best at USC and still didn't last 4 seasons.

People need to look at past circumstances for any coach that is considered and stop going by record alone.

Kiffin took over USC at the beginning of their probation in 2010 when they were only allowed to sign 15 scholarship players a year for 3 years. That's 30 players he didn't have at his disposal. He was only there 4 years. NO coach, Not even your ideal pick to be the new VOL coach could have won in that situation.

With Fulmer leading the search, Kiffin is off the board. We will hire a current HS coach before Fulmer taps Kiffin.

I'd take Kiffin here, but Kiffin at Auburn would be freaking epic! His passion to beat Saban is great enough, but as the Auburn coach? Wow. That would become a game that every college football fan in the world would drop everything to watch.

His 28-15 record with just 55 scholarships says he isn't great? I'll take that kind of not great any day.

With no current Athletic Director, no intelligent and good coach will commit to being the head coach of Tennessee. It appears that our recruiting class will fall apart and go elsewhere. The first step Tennessee will need to do is hire a new athletic director and then a head football coach. Firing Currie was inevitable, but the timing of the firing is questionable since we are in the process of finding a head coach. It seems like everything our program does is backwards and continues to shoot itself in the foot.
