Kiffin or Gundy?

Who would you rather have?

Tough, I would say Gundy because the media would have to backtrack what they have been saying. If we hire Kiffin they will just pile on saying we are so desperate we had to hire the person who left us.

Kiffin has the higher upside. Gundy would be a good/safe hire and would win 9-10 games a year but not sure he would ever win the SEC. Kiffin could bring energy back into recruiting and win the big games.

Admitted on this forum last night that I began riding the Lane Train. After a stop in Gundyville, I like what I see.

I think Kiffin has a very high ceiling. Young, has swagger, great offensive mind and QB developer. He would reignite the fan base more than Gundy, no question. He’d be cheaper, too. Just gotta structure his contract to avoid being left again.

Lane is a last resort, nothing more. If we have a viable option rather than him then jump it. All you have to do is reflect back on that feeling you had when he bolted and tried to steal the recruits that were on board. Also, watch the Ol Miss game late in the year where he got the doors blown off and acted as if he did't care. Also the attitude he had when he came to Knoxville as a Bama staff member.

Cannot argue your point. Problem is, I don't think Kiffin would come. Would be delighted with Gundy, but ecstatic with Kiffin.......especially after that colossal goat F$%k Sunday.

as if bringing Kiffin back is a given that we will win 9-10 and chase the SEC champ.

Gundy has been at one single job for 13 seasons. He hasn't skipped all over town.
