Just got a text that Kiffin will be on the Sports Zone at 5:05 cst. I imagine it'll be a lot of Media Day fluff, but it will be on exactly when Scroggins USC commitment is supposed to take place, if it is in fact supposed to be at 6 eastern.

Not that I'm expecting anything dramatic, just found it interesting.

So Scroggins has changed the announcement time? Thought it was supposed to be at 3:30 today.

104.5 has done a terrible job with SEC media days thus far.
Hope they can get better interviews than Al Del Greco and Dave Neal.

Last time they had Kiffin on that idiot plaster complained for 10 mins about CLK recruiting pitch.

George Plaster is terrible.

Not to mention egotistical. I love it when a listener calls in to rough him up........it never fails he always starts in on them with...."Now wait a dog gone minute".

He is horrible.

Plaster and Co. are tolerable when talking about the Titans, but they spend waaaay too much time discussing Vanderbilt and the Predators for my taste. I do not enjoy getting my SEC news/commentary from a Vandy alum.

I don't mind the Predators coverage, but the Vandy and baseball stuff is close to intolerable for me.

I remember last year on the Monday after CFB kicked off Plaster and Company talked f'in baseball for the 3 -5 o clock hours.

I think he is terrible and I hate the callers that call in like Michigan, kenny the mailman who just kiss his arse.

Yesterday on the Doug Matthews show he tried talking baseball with Tony Barnhart and DM had to shut him down.
Told him "we dont talk baseball on this show"

Anyone care to post some notes from the interview for those of us who can't listen?

Make no misconceptions here, Vandy George Plaster's program 104.5 The Zone, stays afloat only because it unwittingly sucks the life out of the UT program, keeping the former Vandy broadcast announcer on the air for so long.

104.5 The Zone has got to be the worst sports radio in the nation. George Plaster is the biggest toolbag that lives in Nashville. All he talks abouts is baseball, TSU, MTSU, ETSU, Belmont, Lipscomb, Vandy, and some other irrelevant programs.

I am not thrilled that the Zone is all we have now in the Nashville area for local sports programming (ESPN radio offers nothing local anymore and it wasn't very grand either when they did) but I'm interested to see if there's anything noteworthy out of this interview. My money's on no, but still, it's been a frustrating last few weeks following Jesse's recruitment and someone needs to re-ignite my energy level a little bit now.

I just turned them off cause they were talking to some sports reporter from Memphis about Calipari.
Nothing like breaking news.

I do enjoy Bill King and joe Biddle on 560 am.

That's not true. There is local sports talk on 560AM in Nashville. I'm not saying it's great, but they do have local hosts.
