Obviously my age has a big play in my opinion on this but I can't help but think that this Fued is much better than the old one. It won't be complete till we beat them of course, and win a title or two, but I love being on the other side of this. Definately feels better than passive silence. What's your collective thought?

Remains to be seen. Spurrier owned Fulmer, and lets us know about it every chance he got. CLK has certainly talked the talk where CUM is concerned. If he gets to the point where he can walk the walk on a consistent basis, it will definitely be the better rivalry, at least from our point of view.

And someone said that to you once I bet. And If you want to go there, exactly who's generation RAISED my generation?

dude vol dad always has a smarta** comment. that's his thing. He's like the mariotti of volnation. i think he's a pretty good guy but it's hard to tell sometimes. i agree with you though, Kiffins had the job a little over a year and the verbal jabs haven't stopped for more than a few weeks at a time. It's going to be fun watching how this plays out

Yeh wow Vdad, jus say you lik it ole skool, "ole skool". I wasn't trying to bash fulmer or spurrier for that matter. I personally just like the 2 title coach at fl against the loud mouth rookie with swagger. Think its working too, btw.

Well the rivalry has as much to do with how much the teams/coaches hate each other as it has to do with their respective title trophies.
Like you said, we have to win some games to make this a more heated rivalry, but the mutual dislike is there.
I think if you asked Urban preseason this year tell the teams he'd least like to lose to this year, it would be 1. Bama 2. Tennessee, and that's because our coaches don't get along. And I like it.

Much better fued. Our coach takes shots now too and sounds way more intelligent while doing it. ( except for the cheating thing, but that was early on) :good!:

The difference between the Fulmer/Spurrier feud was that Spurrier took jabs and Fulmer took them..Fulmer did have his victories over the evil idiot tho..He never fought back verbally...Kiffin on the other hand is the one taking the jabs, Left and right and undercuts and pretty much is knocking the holy heck out of Meyer which is just hilarious....The scary thing is that pretty much everything Kiffin has said about Meyer is the truth...I guess We will see just how good of a coach Meyer is next season when he doesn't have superman and his merry men to bail him out....Next season is OPEN SEASON!

All those defections to the NFL. Most of that defense gone and no one is going to respect Brantley's legs. I can't wait to watch them waller in misery.

Spurrier / Fulmer was much bigger just because of what was at stake when we played. We were in the national title hunt and that match-up was do or die. It was the biggest regular season game of the year in college football. Kiffin is stirring the pot and I like it. It could get really good again when we can start beating them.

I agree, that's all that is lacking. That should change in a year or two, unless of course UF falls off- not likely considering talent.

Yes it could, we could have another Bush:crazy::bad:

Oh my god, a member on VN who ISN'T a conservative? Bans incoming!

Anyway, I see your point, Kush, but this needs more time than just one season to develop. If things keep going this way, however, I think we can have a new, more intense rivalry with the Gators.

I'm not gonna lie, I've never really hated UF. (I hate UGA with a passion)
I'm actually a bit of a Spurrier fan, but after this season, I HATE FLORIDA. I now hate them more than UGA and can't wait til september

Running your mouth after a win is awesome. Running your mouth, getting beat, and continuing to run your mouth will eventually get old.

Winning cures all.
