It's says we are willing to push the envelope to remain competitive. That's what we want. Bend the rules, but don't break them.

Secondary violations mean absolutely nothing. At least one secondary violation gets reported to the SEC every week by member schools. St. Mark Richt the Pious had over a dozen last year. They mean NOTHING. You say Fulmer ran a class program, but we had a plethora of 'secondaries' under his regime. The rule book is enormous and there are hundreds of interpretations to it.

Reporting secondary violations simply demonstrates a track record of compliance with the NCAA so they don't come poking their snouts around campus.

No. 17 and 18 year old kids want to play for a coach who has a little moxie (many have said as much already). Class is secondary in this business.

The effect of Kiffin's mouth remains to be seen. However, last year brought us a top 10 class. This year, we are sure to have a top 5 class -- with a legitimate shot at the #1 class. His mouth hasn't hurt us thus far.

Secondly, I can assure you that Hamilton hasn't had second thoughts on his decision to hire Kiffin. Not yet anyway.

How can you say Ohio is better than us? We beat Ohio in our home opener last season in one of our worst years of football. I'd say we are a much better team this year with 9 true freshman playing.

I am a complete football fan in general and can't do without Orange Saturdays and NFL Sundays. But NO game is more important than when the greatset team to ever take the field runs through that T! My blood is Orange and every loss ruins my whole day. I never have accepted mediocrity and I will not with Kiffin either. I do see that Kiffin has done better with Fulmers talent than Fulmer would have done with his own talent. If you think that secondary violations occur at Tennessee then you need do some research. Secondary violations are like speeding, everyone does it. His reputation in the NFL? Are you an Al Davis fan? What have you heard from anyone in the NFL other than Al Davis about Lane Kiffin? Ask Pete Carrol if he would have him back?

nice post.simply put,i don't like the way kiffin started running his mouth (see meyer/spurrier comments)however,he is our coach,and i'll have to accept that,for now. i just grew up in the heyday when ALL COACHES respected each other,and their teams. never a comment was made about how a coach MIGHT be cheating,or was cheating. if they were,we never heard them. other than Al Davis,personally, i ain't heard anything more,but,i'm never in the news viewing area as i work out of state.
