Kiffin is good PR for us and a good coach.

Kiffin is all over tv everyday now. We can look good as people willing to give him another shot. And he CAN COACH. We need some good PR and we get a good coach as well. If he leaves us again we get a sympathy vote from natl media. Win win

Are people just assuming he won't be bringing Kendal Briles with him or forgetting that he even exists. Preventing the hire of a coach associated with an older scandal and then bringing in another from a very recent large one= one of the easiest kill shots the media has ever had.

Have you watched tv or heard a radio lately. Kiffin has been on every show out there. With a lot of good PR

Bet you never thought you would put Doreen and Kiffin in the same sentence :thud:

Compare their records, very similar. Success at small school, average in power 5. Which means when they get in conferences with other good coaches, they are exposed.

So their name is the only difference in your opinion. Which has the bigger name and the most media exposure lately. Which school would least like to lose said coach?

Like it or not most fans are ready to give Kiffin another shot now. Especially considering we almost signed Schiano and may very well sign Doeren now

It's not about Kiffin to me, it would be about his OC. When the vast majority of media blasted us, the fans, saying that if it was a better coach we wouldn't care about past issues I would think its unwise to turn around and bring in another coach affiliated with a program where problems from his time there are still coming to light. It would be acting exactly like what they portrayed us as, hypocrites.

Basically, Kiffin+Briles would absolutely get us obliterated from every single angle. However, if its just Kiffin I do think there could be good PR from that. Mending fences, redemption at the place he abandoned, etc.

Kiffin has absolutely never been "good PR", ever. A few people who yell louder than others is not a majority. It's an annoyance.

You all just lack the creativity to think of any other coaches so you go back to the guy who began the downfall of our program and has absolutely zero loyalty to anyone.

Wow. You must really think those of us who want Kiffin back have zero IQ. Most of us care about winning. I would dare say if you put a poll out to ask what matters more PR or winning, I bet winning wins by a landslide. What creativity? What coach are you talking about?

Its becoming painfully clear that this administration is confident on settling. Meaning they are not willing to do whats necessary to get a big time winner. So, if we are going to have to settle, then why not settle for a coah that knows the SEC, has won in the SEC with inferior talent, is not afraid of Saban, can recruit, develop QBS, run a great offense but still is an idiot? Please share your realistic list of coaches that fit that criteria.

A Kiffin hire would be a damn embarrassment and he is anything but a great coach.

He got his dumb a.. fired coaching a roster of 4 and 5 star athletes.

And Monty come along. FU

You have to be a rival fan

The embarrassment is last 4 Days. No sain coach wants any part of what Currie has created...except LK who could care less..actually would thrive in the turmoil by recruiting and winning.

Ok here is my thing, I hardly ever post, much rather just lurk and keep up to date on as much as I can so bear with me here. For all the Kiffin is a dumb*** fans, I get it, he ran out of us in the middle of the night all the while having the NCAA investigating us. But again like many have said, he left for his dream job, the place that he began to make his name with. Then you complain saying he sucked at USC and got fired, but you fail to look at the fact that USC was also handed some of the harshest penalties recently seen to a school and was severely limited in available scholarships. I was against Kiffin when the job initially came available but after the s*** show we’ve been going through, I believe he is one of the best choices, he can coach an offense, he’s always been a great recruiter, and he’s not intimidated by the big stage and going up against the rest of the SEC. So quit acting like a freaking kid, so emotional for adults, and realize that right now he’s one the best options that might actually want the job.

Apologize for the long post, and for all the anti-Kiffinites, go ahead and tell me to keep not posting and what not, unlike you guys I have thick skin and don’t get my panties in a bunch bc someone disagrees with me.

Dude, we are in the media spotlight right now for all the wrong reasons and your solution is to hire a coach who makes a living off being in the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Absolutely. We can look like an angry mob. Or a forgiving fan base. Is it that hard to understand?

You have lost your mind if you think the media will see us as a forgiving fanbase for taking a Kiffin back. We will look like the pathetic, weak, desperate program they already think we are.

GUess your solution is to hire another unproven mid major coach like Dooley or Jones?
