It's based solely on his "pumping gas" comment? THen there's lots of things wrong with Newsweek in this article.
1) What would his ethics rating be if they also factored in his comments about Urban Meyer? -4?
2) That "pumping gas" comment was never proven, and the recruit supposedly admitted on the phone that Kiffin never said that, and didn't know where that quote came from. The media has been ignoring this, yet they report the hearsay of the comment...
3) LOTS of coaches use negative recruiting. They did a huge story a couple years ago how it is Charlie Weiss's signature on ESPN. I heard a small report where Urban Meyer a few years ago said that UT would NEVER be significant as long as he's coach at UF. So, why is the Kiffin comment such a huge deal to everyone? (Especially since there's more proof that he DIDN'T say it than proof that he did).
i love how people just ignore the fact that he denies the pumping gas comments.... i really hate the media right now but i mean, this seems to all be a part of Kiffins plan.
Newsweek?
Damn.... what's Kiffin have in mind next?
Reader's Digest?...
Chicken soup for the Soul?
National Geographic?
I can see us recruiting Inuit villagers and aborigines next year, if this keeps up.![]()
