All I here is Kiffin has never been a college head coach . Well you all think Phil is the king of TN football ! Where was he head coaching when we hired him ?
Kiffin is out doing what needs to be done to make TN great again . Going after the best recruits and putting a great coaching staff together. I don't care how great the head coach is you have to have the staff to coach up players .
CLK has had on the job training with one of the best programs in history. His whole life has been football he knows what it will take to build a great program . So why don't you dorks lighten up and at least let him coach a game before you start crying .
One other thing I think CLK knows what qb will fit the system a little better than anyone on this board . Let's see what he has in store for the team before we decide he doesn't know what he's doing .

It's ridiculous to presume that everyone disliking the Kiffin hire lacks football knowledge.

I love the hire, but I don't in any way assume that there aren't a helluva lot of legitimate reasons to dislike the hire.

Every decision of this nature has a high degree of uncertainty and risk. That's part of the business. Think about what happens when CLK gets it done to our satisfaction: that essentially means that the Saban and Meyer hires have fallen on hard times. Can both of those be bad hires if Kiffin gets it done here?

Pack up your laptops, pocket protectors, and taped ( in the middle) eyeglasses, Waldo, & quit playing around with your online Second Life and/or Worlds of Warcraft , leave the comic book store and all night Star Trek marathons, and study up on CLK. Silly dorky nerd boys. Sheesh.

I'm drinking the Kiffinaide but those two sentences are in contrast.

I don't want to hear the sunshine gang proping up Kiffin for doing nothing but talking to recruits and I don't want to hear the party crashers knocking Kiffin down before he's slipped on his Orange Bike Coaching shorts.

It comes down to W-L's people. And we're a long way from football season.

Something else I wanted to add . If CLK would have come straight from USC one of the best programs the last I don't know how many years . Had he not gone to a no win situation under Al Davis would these people still be crying or would they be saying what a great hire this up and comer ?

Doesn't that bring CLK's decision making into question since he took a job that you called "a no win situation"?

many more people would, rightfully so, be crying if he had no HC experience whatsoever.

Being the chief is a much different animal than being the lieutenant.

My point in this post is how can these people come on here and bash CLK for this and that when he's not coached a game yet ? I might have gone a little far on the dork thing but I'm a little fiesty when it comes to football .

the corollary question is equally applicable, but you fail to see it.

I have just about seen only love for CLK on this site. ESPN and some other sports talk guys have made jokes or bashed him but in the VOLNATION it has mostly been a love fest.
