Charges dropped. On what basis do you kick him off the team? this is getting silly.

this^^^

Hanging out with bad characters doesn't mean you automatically get kicked off the team. neither does underage drinking. shoot, you think nuke ever went over to EBs to play video games like JJ did? if so then goodbye Eb your services are no longer needed.

lol

This stuff is getting so old

If you don't think that the UTAD has the kind of pull to get charges dropped where there is even a little gray area for the DA and Judge to save face, you're missing the big picture. Think Jackson could have afforded the council he did otherwise too?

His dad is a assistant coach, at Miami (OH) I think. He's not living poorly.

If an athletic directors lacks the confidence in his football coach's ability to handle matters like these, he needs to replace him immediately.

Couldn't agree more.

Couldn't agree more.

So, since Fulmer couldn't handle ANY matters associated with player problems what's your post supposed to mean? Phil wasn't replaced 'immediately' and was allowed to go on without discipline for years.

Obviously, the ADs he worked for didn't have any problem with how The Fired Coach handled discipline.

Just another conspiracy theory for people with nothing better to do than drum up some drama! If I wanted drama I would watch TNT!

You changed the OP but have yet to cite any sources.

Serveral sources say that you are wrong about what MH wanted. (see how easy it is to make stuff up.)

I heard that sources said voldad posted incorrect information. Word travels fast. And the imaginary friend filter is frkn hilarious

I agree and I think more may latter come out about whether UT pressured th DA to drop the charges or not........which has been discussed in the national media. I am inclined to think in this era, being a star athlete or celebrity makes the prosecution more likely to press charges, example Martha Stewart.

Do you think that UT pressured the DA to drop the robbery charges on the female who was driving? If the DA could prove in any way that she or JJ had prior knowledge of the robbery then he would have never dropped the charges.

BTW, what national media has discussed this? Are you sure it wasn't regional media in a rival teaqm's area?

With the way these supposed "sources" are being thrown around left & right, I'd love to see Freak implement the word replacement filter, so "source(s)" becomes "imaginary friend(s)".
:eek:lol:

I will be shocked if jj makes it through next season without more trouble... he has apparently been in trouble since he got here.... I hope I'm wrong...

Poor fans who feel like they are insiders on here who feel that they know what janzen has done.

If jj is serious about turning his life around god bless. If he kept up his freshman year rate of serious issues it would not be surprising for him to be arrested at least twice sophomore year.

I don't know who the OP's sources are, but this rumor was started on the scout boards by tennstud. Take it for what it is worth.

Here is the skinny on this.

According to the organizational chart the Athletic Director is over the Head Football Coach. So if Hamilton really wanted JJ off the team JJ would be out of here.

I may get blasted for this but I really don't think JJ will have any more mistakes. He seems like a quality young man who got involved in some things that most normal college students get involved in. Smoking pot, drinking underage, arguments/altercations with bouncers or being in the wrong place at the wrong time are all fairly common.

I don't really fault him for being out late with his teammates. He is probably getting his first taste of freedom as an "adult" and he is going to have some judgement errors. The last month should be a shining example as to why you have to be picky with the company you keep.

JJ has a lot of advantages working for him with his family connections and probably thought he could test his boundaries. He now knows for certain that he will not be able to use those advantages to stay out of trouble.

I would not be surprised if the adversity he has faced recently is the impetus for him to take his play to the next level and become a superstar. He's definitely going to be hungry to prove that he deserves his second chance.

I guess if we couldn't argue about what someone thought about what someone else was thinking then the post count here would drop like a rock.

Now I am OK with JJ playing Saturday because the guy who should know the most about it - CLK - says he should play.

However, dropping the charges because they can't prove he knew about it is a LONG WAY from saying that dropping the charges do prove he didn't know about it.

What JJ does in the future will prove whether or not the consequences of his actions that night ( 2 game suspension) were sufficient to change his behavior. If so, we will have a great FS for the next 2-3 years. If not, JJ will go the way of Nukeese & Mike.
