Alabama on the down-swing next year huh? You are aware they are playing more freshman than any team in the country, and next year was projected to be their year but as we all know they arrived a year early. I'm sorry but this fact alone totally dis-credits this thread :(

Did you think that what Kiffin (if Kiffin actually told him this) told him is anything less that coach speak?? It's part of the game. He's probably told everyone else this as well.

Actually, it was more the SEC West pretty much disappeared and SUCKED royally, plus Bammers had the luck of playin some of the worst teams in the SEC EAST and a god-awful clemson team to open the season.
Bama showed what kinda team they were vs Florida.

So, your post actually discredits itself...

:eek:k: .......and they are going to be starting a new qb, new tackle and possibly new center. i was screamin' bama was overrated for weeks to the bammers around here. to hear them tell it though, they're gonna win the whole friggin thing next year.

What would anyone expect him to say to a recruit he wants, who stated he is concerned with winnign a Championship? Sorry dude but I can not promise we will ever win one? i think it shows confidence in his ability to get recruits and to coach them. he will get his SEC exam next year. I am sure Lane has faith that his defense won't lose games, we will see, and he must think he can get more out of the offense than we have seen lately.
That is my thinking anyway. I like the statement. Shows he is up for the test. now if he loses to KY next year, then he will have problems.

I'm not reading this whole silly thread, but my question would be what the hell is he supposed to tell high school football players?
