Lane Kiffin recently told Eric Gordon, the DB from Hillsboro, that if he came to Knoxville he would win one, possibly 2 SEC titles.

Just thought you all would like to know.

Bull crap. Did you hear his presser when he got hired? His comments were something of the sort "I am not going to guarantee anyone how many championships or conference titles I will win"

Maybe he said "You COULD win one or possibly two SEC Championships." But I can't see him telling a kid he WOULD win one.

Me and my buddy who are big Vol fans were asking him about Kiffin. He said that he is very confident and believes he can recruit enough talent in the next two years to catch Bama and Florida on their down-swings.

I think he can too. And I'm hoping like heck he can!

But what I really want to know is.....what was Kiffin wearing when he talked to him? (I'm female, what can I say?)

That's the wrong way to state it, if that's true.

We're only good enough to catch them on their down years? Hmmm..... don't like the way that sounds.

As many of you know, I've been very negative about recruiting. He encouraged me by saying that Kiffin is working on '10 prospects as well, because its hard to get in on great 09 prospects so late.

I don't think that's the way he meant it. He is talking about the immediate future, not the long-run.

Urban Meyer, Jim Tressel and Bob Stoops won the national championship in their second year. With lane and monte, no reason UT can't do the same thing.
