Not calling out the author's credibility.

But I don't know about letting the credibility of an 18 year old recruit at a rival school have the power to take a swipe at an entire program.

Not on national television without proof.

Low is an idiot looking for attention by putting that story on his "blog".....and like I said before, ESPN running it on their channel, unsubstantiated, makes it sickening that their name is plastered all over this board.

'Atta boy Griff. This call-out was well-deserved. Low's article goes against fundamentals of journalism, and probably wouldn't have been published if it was not a "blog." You do not publish hearsay.

it seems many of our beat writers and or columnist across the state take more pride in beating up on CLK than writing positive things.
You dont see that sorta thing in Gainesville

These types of stories will lose credibility when

A) Kiffin backs his mouth up and wins games
-or-
B) Kiffin stops being the national media favorite to discredit


Simple fact of life here: Kiffin ran his mouth, as you pointed out in your article, and he's set himself up for exactly this type of story to be run with impunity. When he shows that he isn't a "one trick pony" the media will be more hesitant to try swipes at him. He's seen as a clown on the national stage, at least at this point.

On Basillio's show, Lowe says he tried repeated times to get in touch with Kiffin before running the story.

Basillio is backing Lowe. Says "of course Kiffin said it (the gas station quote)"

I'm talking about Kiffin basically starting a war of words with Meyer, Richt, Spurrier and Saban.

Rome didn't like it after the "Meyer cheated" comment and he did directly call him a clown for not fact checking and realizing that anything is quotable in the South.

They are "pointing" at him because he makes for great sound-bites and the excitement surrounding UT at the moment. You used the word clown. That's just inaccurate.

I've never heard Rome refer to CLK as a clown. I don't think it happened. I know he didn't like it but the word clown wasn't used. And yes, I listen to Rome daily.

Wrong, Spurrier threw the first punch with the whole recruiting test thing. Somehow the media didn't turn that into a national scandal, though.
