I know we have been burned and we are still ticked at the man...but there comes a time when we seriously need to MOVE ON!!!! I just hate thinking that that douche thinks that we still are talking about him on this site...or any site for that matter. Every time we go on and on about how much we hate him it just provokes another sound bite from him exclaiming that our animosity just proves how awesome he was when he was here and how much we MUST miss him.

Te cultural ficomment was more about Kiffin's willingness to play fast & loose with the NCAA rules and Kiffin's frustration with our admin reigning him in. He wasn't accustomed to that at USC and is glad to be back to that. He's telling anyone tgat will listen that we are afraid of the NCAA and, as such, aren't committed to winning.

It's not about whether he is nice, cultured or a Southern Gent (whatever that might be).

A lot of the stuff I got to hear today about Kiffin, you are spot on with that assessment.

BPV is absolutely right. There was an ideaology clash over the way a program should be run in terms of recruiting and compliance. Lane is on shaky ground with his complaint. He left because he preferred the "culture" at USC.

The difference between the Meyer and Saban situation is that they remain at their respective schools. By the looks of things Meyer actually loves Gainesville.

Kiffin's a party animal, a California cool type of guy and likes the 24/7 hard party scene in LA and the beaches over the boring south. He never fit at UT and was looking to get out when the first job came around.

I don't think that's true in the least.

I think someone should explain to Kiffin that Hamilton really just got tired of the late night phone calls in the vein of "dad I just wrecked the car and I am drunk....come get me".

Mike Griffith summed up and I pretty much agree with his blog...Kiffin didnt want to be here to start with...UT was just another job and it payed rather well...not for just him but also his assistants...apparently his family doesn't think much of him either...here's a link to the blog if you would like to read...

Kiffin didn't like Orange; who will? | Ask Griff | GoVolsXtra.com

I hadn't read that blog. Very good read and I agree with all of it.

This is Dooley's career. He is Tennessee and will be forever IMO.
