Sick of it when you're talking about VolNation in the second person. GTFO and you won't have to tolerate any more. With you clearly being superior and all, one would have assumed you didnt need this type of advice.

Agreed, I hope one of my NFL teams drafts him. They could both use a little help at fullback.

Who cares? Everyone (other than FL and their fans) has him going to the NFL (and everyone cannot wait). They have said that since he was a FR and came on Campus at UF he could not do this and that and I guess you all are right there (?????, ha). The last time I looked he was still enrolled in Gainesville, 3-0 with a victory over TN this past weekend!

Tebow will be worse then JaMarcus Russell in the NFL. If you think Monte had him confused with so so talent wait till he steps up to the big boys. His best option is FB or if he can prove he can catch TE.

Poor thing and allow me to explain........Gainesville is Gainesville, FL where the University of Florida is located. Just like Knoxville (or Knoxville, TN) is where UT is located.

Oh, you were actually trying to form a sentence with that last abortion. I assumed I simply missed some sort of lingo since it is utterly nonsensical as written.

You know what, I should have put two and two together. Disregard.

I love going to other team's message boards for threads just like this. It's downright hilarious!

Kiffin has you people thinking that a loss is a win, just like he did when he first arrived in Oakland, and I for one, love the standard that he's set for you. His former players, coaches, and owner in the pros are probably chuckling as well.

Everyone, except a few journalists here and there, who are not any more intelligent than the average hillbilly, saw exactly what UT's coaching staff was doing- playing to not be embarrassed, instead of playing to win- a con job on UT fans and potential recruits. Of course, the more intelligent Gators see a win as being a win, and don't put much stock into "wait until next year". We'll enjoy our win, while you fantasize about winning the lottery.

I like the snake oil routine... the cure for UT football, which I hear also enlarges a certain part of the UT fan's anatomy. I hope that he continues doing just what he's doing, a smoke and mirror job, while handing victories to his opponents. If we're lucky, your opponents will get 4 or 5 years out of him, before the average UT fan goes, "Um huhuhuhuh, huh. huhuhuh. I think we were punked... uhuhuh huhuh huh uhuh."

If that's truly the case, you've got to be concerned about your team. A loud-mouthed buffoon tried to "hand" your defending national champion Gators the game, and your brilliant coach came away with a slim victory. Not exactly the sweet revenge your mouth-breathing fan base promised, huh?

But if you really think Kiffin won't take us anywhere, you won't waste any more of your time on our message board. Otherwise, I'm going to think you're lying to yourself.

With all due respect, Volfan76, I think you are delusional here. Urban Meyer just beat Tennessee and it wasn't really as close as the score indicated. At one point, the Vols were saved due to an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Gators. Without that 15-yard penalty, the score probably would have been worse, so the game was not close due entirely to Tennessee's gameplay or Florida's lack of gameplay. Coach Meyer is there for the long haul, that is obvious to anyone and this win over the Vols didn't change anything. They are still 3-0 and ranked in the top 3. The top recruits will continue to head for UF at this point and to think that there are concerns at any level of Gatornation for UM's future is flat out crazy.

With all due respect, Coach Meyer said at all his other stops that he was there to stay, he loved it there, blah, blah blah. Only people who are drinking the kool-aid believe Meyer will stay at Florida when South Bends calls in the next couple of years.

So did you actually graduate from Florida or is it inbred?
or both???

florida, defending national champs, playing at home, God on the sideline and Jesus at QB, 21 returning on D; Vols 5-7 last year, new coach, cupboard bare, worst QB in modern era of Tennessee football under center.

i am a gator fan and i genuinely enjoy the post on vol nation sometimes ,most of your members are very knowledgable when it comes to football and i love the insight you guys provide but damn it it was a loss .. with that being said i give tennessee props for coming into g-ville and playing the way they did considering nobody gave them a chance in hell to even keep it close... they were in a position that if you look at it florida was in not to many years ago and with a few key plays tennessee wins last saturdays game but they didnt and thats the fact.all im saying a win is a win and a loss is a loss that simple so have some faith in the team and get ready for next week dont keep thinking coulda shoulda woulda

you guys are still one of the elite programs in college football and i actaully root for the vols in everygame except the obvious and the SEC is still the best conference in the NCAA

Guys!!! Seriously, Myself and whoever posts next could be 1-2 right now at UT. The truth of the matter is that UF BEAT us....again. My son is 5 years old and since that time we have never beaten FL. How long until he gets to see a W? I mean, we played tough, but they played tougher...hence the final score. They actually produced more this year than last year. Does anyone remember the UCLA game??? Geez we suck and I for one am not happy about it. Again, who doesn't think that if we hired any respectable coach out there that we would be worse than sitting at 1-2...probably better? All Lane has done is draw attention to the the power T during what appears to be a terrible season. He has lost 100% more games than he's won at UT. Recruits may watch, but they just laugh each time we get beat. So does Richt, Meyer, Sabin, Miles, and Nuehiesal...

I'm always concerned with my team, but you know, a win is a win. I believe that "revenge" is winning the game, especially after the opposing coach ran his mouth about beating us, not what sportswriters and bookies think. I don't bet, so I don't care about the spread. It goes into the record books as 5 in a row, and that's great with me.

The difference between me and most fans today is that style points don't mean a darn thing to me. Every week there is an upset, and every week there's a blowout that shouldn't have happened. You play to win, not to look good losing, and if you lose, you lose.

I'm not about "wait till next year" either. I could have crashed my plane flying home after the game. Then, there would not have been a next year. I'm about seizing the moment. I don't worry about next year.

Other than a fumble and an unsportsmanlike conduct call on my Gators, I'm very pleased with the result. I saw the playcalling on both sides for what it was. I really liked it that everyone involved almost immediately understood that when most teams are trying to run out the clock at the end of the game to seal the win, UT started the game trying to run out the clock. Now that's fear. Who needs respect when you have fear?

I know that Monte probably wanted the UT offense to mix it up a little. He, unlike his son, is sharp. He probably noticed that the Gators weren't playing with all of their weapons, and thought to himself, maybe even mentioned it at halftime, "Something's wrong with these Gators. They're one-dimensional", but true to form, just like when he coached the Raiders, Lane couldn't bring himself to take risks or be innovative in his approach to the game, probably because he's just not all that good of a coach.

The Gators, with the flu, injured receivers, Spikes throwing up on the sideline, etc., were ripe for the taking, but not by UT. UT had the talent, but not the nerve. That's why I believe that Lane Kiffin is the perfect coach for UT's opponents.

He can't use the "cupboard is bare" excuse next year or the year after next, and UT fans will be saying "What the heck were we thinking?".

Don't worry, the UT administration knows what it is doing. They're not knotheads. Lane and friends will recruit better than Mr. Donut did, and after 2 or 3 years of Oakland-style antics, an excellent coach will be available to replace Kiffin, but with plenty of talent to do the job. Kiffin is the type who will screw up so often, that the administration can let him go at any time. A great coach will be available in the next few years, and UT will snap him up. UT's admin is sharp. They know what they're doing. Then, I'll worry about the UT game on the schedule.

Until then, the Gators will be fat and happy.

I'm not wasting my time on your message board. It's great entertainment. I'm most certainly not engaging in false bravado. I just happen to know the game really well, and Kiffin, well, he's a placeholder coach.

Sorry...disagree. They're still undefeated and I find it very hard for that to be "a psychological blow," not matter how arrogant you are or are perceived to be.
I thought the comments I physically saw and heard from Meyer were surprisingly humble and classy. I haven't heard any of the things you said, but that doesn't mean I don't believe he said them...

But you're right about if Tebow had not played...we win, IMO.

Meyer tried to create the firestorm surrounding the game and everyone thought Florida was going to take us to the woodshed. We played them tough, and even Meyer said after the game that he had to get his guys up in the locker room. This was definitely a humbling win if there is such a thing, and you could make the argument that it is a psychological blow, but in the end it may only help them realize they are beatable and get them to refocus. Only time will tell.

laugh, but the message isn't about Tennessee. It's about the very overrated nature of the UF team. Again, if UF wins any title, this is one sorry NCAA season.
