what i dont understand is that how many of anyone has jokingly grabbed a friends cell phone and pretended to be that person?????Did anyone maybe think that kiffin being as young as he is he can really relate to these kids.Nuke said that kiffin put in the text to the highschool coach(i am having the time of my life here i have made my mind up on where im going...nuke also said that he had never seen that from a coach before....hint hint kiffin can make these kids fill like their hanging out with one of their friends.

I think the Pahokee comments were inappropriate, but CLK seems to be smoothing that over. Gran can repair that damage. CLK has made a few minor mistakes but people are talking about TN again and that is good news. I like the fact that he is not afraid to ruffle feathers.

I am glad to see this apology. Even though clk statement about the high school was probably true. We don't need to publicly oust them.

he made a mistake, made reparations, and move on. I don't think it will be a big deal in the future. He is learning as he goes here in SEC country. remember, he is used to being the only big dog in in the league (USC)

In a few months, this will all blow over--no big deal. Meyer's going to have to deal with LK taking recruits that UF used to get.

I thought CLK or CMK made some mention that another coach on the staff told them this kind of shennanigans goes on at Pehoke (sp).

Agreed... Only I doubt CUM will be there in two more years. As soon as Charlie Weis gets the boot at Notre Dame Meyer will be scooting on up to South Bend.

Mike Slive spent most of his tenure as C-USA annoying Huggs, Cal, and Pitino with his incessant babbling to "play nice." They all told him to shove it up his arse. Kiffin should do the same to that gutless piece of rat feces.

Had Monte helped them win a super bowl for the Dolphins instead of the Bucs, I doubt a big deal would have been made about this.Big deal about nothing other than a H/S coach trying to get some free pub.

Yeah he needs to learn to restrain that tongue when dealing with schools and communities. That and the mistake about Meyer's actions being against the rules are the only problem I have with what he's done.

I like that he's playing head games with some of these guys... Hopefully in the near future he'll get a chance to make Meyer cry again.

The kid just had a family member take to fax were she works so he didn't have the news leak from the high school. Also, what I am hearing here in Florida, is that he didn't want to deal with the Gator homers in the office.

"Richardson said Thursday night that he would have sent his letter-of-intent to Florida exactly the same way he sent it to Tennessee. The senior wide receiver lives with his aunt, Robbie Everett, who took the letter-of-intent with her to fax from the Pahokee Elementary School where she works."

Think about it --

Your a 18 year old kid in small town Tennessee, one of the best players in the state, and you want to FAX a LOI to the Gators. Would you do it from your high school or have a relative send it from their place of business?

Kiffin should have left this one alone, but he wasn't that far from the truth.
