Kickers So Far

Watched the Alabama game last night man we were so close. If Lincoln could have got the kick just above that lardbucket...

Because reality is normally the last thing you'll find on these boards? Best thing that could happen to us is we red-shirt both the freshmen and let them have the jobs next year. First off Lincoln and Cunningham are a lot better than people give them credit for. Are they all SEC material probably not but they are both serviceable.

Seriously do you consider 20/34 field goals and maybe 2-3 touchbacks over the last two years as serviceable? Cunningham is a serviceable punter.

on these kids. Wow.

Palardy has been the most consistent punter in camp so far and is kicking off the best of all kickers in camp. He is kicking much better this week in practice on fg's, which takes the most time of all the three disciplines because it relies so much on others and getting timing down with the snapper and holder.

Take it for what it is worth and believe whatever you want to believe.

Go Vols!

I don't ever remember us having this much real competition between viable options at both kicker and punter. I think that's pretty cool and that it will sort itself out in the next few weeks.

blocked FG's and most have been kicked by Palardy? Gives me a stomach ache.

he's playing with the second team ST unit I think though. Maybe not, He did have one or two blocked in the ARMY game.... Could be his kick comes off too low...

Not good, especially if it means we now have 3 punters and the 1 kicker that lost bama twice

Thanks Coach for bringing this back to reality.

It's the same way it gets when someone runs for 100 yards in a scrimmage against the walk-on defense, there's a Heisman campaign brewing somewhere as soon as it happens.

Palardy and Darr are both likely going to be two very solid special teamers for UT for the next few years and we're extremely lucky to have them.

Does Michael feel as if the coaches have honored their promise to him and given him a fair shot at all jobs?
