Colorado State hosted a handful of recruits this past weekend including punter Pete Kontodiakos. The 6-foot-3, 185 pound big-leg from Clearwater (FL) Countryside took time from his Florida home to talk with GoldandGreenNews about his visit to Fort Collins.
GoldandGreenNews: First off, how did you like CSU?
Pete Kontodiakos: I really liked CSU, but I think I'm going to take my other trips to see. I liked it, it's just a long way from home.
GNG: Your other trip is to Tennessee, correct?
PK: Yes, this weekend.
GNG: What do you like about Tennessee?
PK: Big school, SEC, good coaches in there now. I don't know, I just really like the big school.
GNG: What coach is recruiting you at CSU?
PK: Pat Meyer
GNG: Who was your host while in Fort Collins?
PK: The kicker, Ben DeLine. He's a good kid.
GNG: So, a punter or kicker by trade?
PK: I'm a punter. I'll punt in college.
GNG: Have any other schools offered you lately besides Colorado State?
PK: No, but Georgia has talked to me a lot to, I really like Georgia. Besides that, we're still talking to Purdue, but that's all.
GNG: Could you name your current top three schools?
PK: My top three would probably be Georgia, Tennessee, then CSU.
