I don't think so. What do I know though,or any of us for that matter. I don't see the vision and or lateral quickness from Lewis. He's a big, bruising,215 lbs back. Hes got straight line speed, elite straight line speed, but his maneuverability seems lacking, and his vision. Maybe that develops as he's only a Frosh.Rb1 caliber. Not every starting running back has to be at Sampson’s level. Dude is literally rewriting the record books.
I would tend to think that vision and reading blocks come with coaching and experience, but that’s just me.I don't think so. What do I know though,or any of us for that matter. You don't need someone breaking records. You need someone who fits the offense. Someone who's quick, can catch and run, with vision and ability to find the hole, make one or run through tackles. This system loves guys like Kamara. It also needs the #2 who can hit the hole and get the constant 4.5ypc(Small)while the main back is getting 6(Wright). I see Lewis being more like Small and were needing someone in the mold of DSamp. Maybe Bishop is that guy. It would be one hell of a story for what he's been through
3 guys in front of him returning for 2025
Need 1 or 2 more decent ones for depth but with Morris and Baker incoming we're fine.
Baker is an overlooked prospect... he posted an 11.15 100-meter dash in 2023, so he's probably sub-11 now. Has a very thick build at 5-9/205, similar to someone like J.K. Dobbins.
It’s possible and it wouldn’t surprise me but man Seldon is so smooth when he runs. I know he’s not Reggie Bush but he has a similar style. I want to see him healthy for a while before writing him off. He hasn’t had a chance to get in a rhythm. When he does I think he’s pop off.I think Seldon is gonna have a hard time holding off Baker for RB3 next season if Seldon stays.
Seldon is very talented, but seems like a "tweener' between RB and WR. He runs upright, and doesnt seem to hit the hole as fast as Lewis, definitely doesnt hit the hole as fast or fearless as Bishop. Bishop in particular is a natural RB that was the bellcow and carried his entire HS team for his whole career. Getting hurt last season early and having surgery was the best thing that could have ever happened to him from all the mileage lumped on him in HS. I think Bishop/Lewis will split carries at RB1 next season, maybe alternate drives. Everyone else competes for RB3. Baker is a natural RB though and hard to tackle. He may pass Seldon on the depth chart by the end of the year IMO.

DSamp - rumored undrafted status - take the chance or come back for potentially more NIL money and set every Vols RB record out of reach?
He’d own more records thangot kids

Lol idk if there is more context to this but .15 seconds off of your best 100 meter time is actually quite a bit of time to cut off. It's not exactly an i'm sure he is sub 11 now just because he is one year older, I don't believe.3 guys in front of him returning for 2025

If I'm not wrong, both are 3 star. I recognize DSamp was a 3 star but developed after a couple of years. I doubt 2 freshman will contribute heavily. This offense can attract someone like Judkins, etc, who can play at an elite level immediately
“If you stay, you’ll play,” in my opinion, is one of the things that caused Fulmer to lose his job. He chose to play juniors and seniors over more talented freshmen and sophomores. There used to be an old adage at Tennessee…”If you stay, you’ll play.” I wish these young men had the grit to stay the course.
I agree. I don't think Keith is a loss. More of a roster spot. What we have are serviceable and may be good, possibly great. That's why I think we can be picky. Same as the WR positionThey may well join the three stars that make up over half of the NFL draft each year. Don't see justification for panic or depression, though folks are free to go that route. Are they not FR, RFR, and SO? No telling what their ceilings are, but their floors are pretty impressive.
