I had a root canal done last week and it was less painful than watching the UT offense.........running backs running into the QB, stupid penalities on second and short, QB and receiver misreads etc. The whole sorry performance, in the first three games, reminds me of Nortre Dame in Jerry Faust's last year as coach.

My biggest complain is looking over to the sideline and seeing our head coach making $2.5 million. For this product we could get a Curley Hallman or a Gerry Dinardo for one-tenth of what we are paying Phil.

Keystone cops is a term also used at the bar last night between FV and myself while watching the game.

Our running backs this year have one sack (Foster running into Crompton in the UCLA game) and have caused a QB fumble.

That is more than we can say about our D-line...

The blocked punt against UCLA; and our coverage units all season. That is the Keystone Cops routine.

Our Defense is fair-to-middlin'. Good secondary, but no pass rush.

The Offense is simply impotent. We can run most of the time, but pass protection is atrocious; and Crompton has the awareness and football savvy of a dirtclod.
