Wondering what you guys think are the key facets of the game this coming Saturday. I think it starts with stopping Georgia's running game and making AM uncomfortable. On offense, protecting Bray and an average running attack should get it done. Special teams - avoid mistakes. Look forward to your views and the obligatory flaming I have come to expect from this board.

Walk Brewer up into the box all game, man coverage on the outsides with Swaggner to clean up any miscues, and MAKE Aaron Murray beat you with his arm. Vols win 28-13.

Avoid costly mistakes. Try to not give the the homerun play like they've done every game. Make Murray beat you with his arm.

You have to keep someone over the top on Orson Charles
He is targeted about half of their pass plays

Get the run game started early. So Bray and Co. can beat them in the air. That should force UGA to play man to man.

The UGA D has been getting better with every game. We'll have our hands full next week playing in a tough place. Our front 7 have to get to Bray. The secondary will have their hands full against the UT air attack. I think it will be a tough game and I believe we have playmakers on offense, defense, and special teams that could end up being the difference for this game.

I did not see yesterdays game but IMO if ole miss had any accuracy at all at the QB position you guys would have had your hands full. Crowell has looked good but your offense has been under shelling in games I have seen. If we can stop Charles and Crowell then we'll have probablly done what we need to win.

Neyland is a very tough place to play...for opponents

Their WR's aren't amazing like what they have consistently had in the past. Orson Charles is a beast. Their OL is bad. If we can get into Murray's face and contain the run we will win by 2 TD's.

Oh, and it's home field advantage. We haven't lost to UGA at home since 2005.

What do you think UT will do to achieve this. Charles is a match up nightmare for most opponents. Crowell has the jets to run past your LB's on any given play. My biggest concern this year has been Murray, he's thinking way too much out there. Murray also tries to extend plays and make something out of nothing. This has led to sacks and hits that should not happen, sometimes you're better off throwing the ball away. I'm not too concerned with our WR's. The O-line also needs some major improvement.

Ole Miss had nothing on our defense. They did not do much to our defense. Our problem in that game was that our offense was too complacent with a big lead and the play calling was very inconsistent. Our D has not been the problem this year.

Thanks for throwing out that last stat. I love me some insta-karma.

UGA's secondary is being undervalued. I actually like them playing man to man more than zone. As long as Boykin is close to 100%, he and Commings will be a huge headache for Bray et al. Rambo is playing lights out in pass coverage in the middle. The DL and LB corps are also finding their stride despite the free pass for HOLDING that every OL since USCe has been granted. Robinson should be back closer to full go in the middle, and that helps enormously. The GA D against the run has been pretty impressive so far. Lattimore got his, but no one else has. Do you have a Lattimore on the Vol Squad?

The O has had its inconsistencies, but the OL has also been pretty beat up. Hoping to get a few more bodies back this game, namely Burnette. As for just stopping Charles and/or Crowell, I think you might be underestimating the rest of the UGA offense. To stop Charles, you usually have to double him, which leaves a very capable receiver in Malcolm Mitchell running hog wild in single coverage down field. Not to mention that various WRs have been injured and not playing the last few weeks or just came back in spot duty this past game. UGA Rbs and FBs are very dangerous in the flats. I think if the Ol is getting battered, then you will start seeing quite a few screens.

Walsh eventually has to get back on form. No time like the present.

UGA has been making plenty of mistakes this year, but apart from the first game, they haven't let those mistakes get them down. They have just kept playing right on through them. Neyland at night is certainly a tough environment in which to play, but I just don't think this team will be phased by that. UT can certainly play with them, but if UGA stops making mistakes, they will roll.

Tennessee needs to eliminate mistakes on special teams. Darr needs to have a hang time long than 2 seconds.

Turnovers, where they occur, and not allowing boykin to get loose on one of our massive pints or kockoffs.
I'm not sure ga loses again, tbh.

I heard an interesting stat on one of the sport talk shows the other day about Georgia... Do you realize they have the largest offensive line in football... This includes the NFL.. Maybe they are just too big and out of shape. :) Regardless, I am wandering how we get off blocks with these big guys all over our front 7..

wisconsin and georgia had the two biggest olines. crowell is going to have a very good game imo. btw uga's defense is really something.

This. Believe it or not, take away the big play and we actually have a very stout defense.
