We're two different teams. Your own coach said we have a far better passing game than Florida has at the moment. We'll see. I think we'll do better against your defense than anyone has done. I also think your defense will slow us down more than anyone has done. The other combination, our defense and your offense is where the game will be won or loss. And as an Auburn fan, of course, I think your offense is more of a weak point for you than our defense is for us.

I just wanted to come on here and eat my crow like a man.

I thought we would run 83 plays in 32 minutes....it actually took us 35 minutes.

I also claimed your defense would "slow us down" more than anyone, meaning yards gained. However, after careful review, I see now that the West Virginia defense held us to 400 yards compared to the 459 yards Tennessee was able to do.


In all seriousness, the game was very much what I thought it may be. For the first half, Crompton just couldn't keep you on the field on third and long, thereby giving your defense no rest.

As I thought, your running game got going at times, had a few big plays, but in general, did not do the damage most of you anticipated or claimed it would do.

I also thought that our offense would be able to move the ball with some success. Considering we kicked field goals from the 1 yard line and the 4 yard line, the score could have been a bit different. But, I'll take 26-22, it's still a win over a very good defensive team.

If you even had Joe Cox you would probably be 4-1 right now, 3-2 at the very least.
