You guys watch! These games with the Auburns and Kentucky's, etc. will be field position games. Our special teams have got to continue their consistency and execution, especially with the punt defense.

If UT's WR's run the right routes and run them correctly then the passing game will improve even if JC doesn't.

We must be up by more than a touchdown with 10 minutes left or JC will lose the game for us. Also, if we get down late in the fourth, it's over. We simply don't have a home-run threat. I've defended crompton for quite some time but he will never do anything that positively impacts the game for us Vol fans.

-Bench Moore, play Teague.
-Find the receiver(s) that will run consistent, correct patterns... and play them... that probably means Jones has to get his act together.
-Go 3 deep at RB and 60-40 run to pass.
-Hit quick patterns and roll outs early to keep the DB's honest and build the confidence of Crompton and the receivers
-Smother the QB like UT did Tebow
-Plug the run like UT did against UF's RB's early... Aub doesn't have a QB that's going to run it 24 times.
-Auburn throws to 3 guys: Fannin, Zachary, and Adams. Those guys have 43 receptions combined... the rest of the team has 23 total. Adams in particular has 20 catches. Force the other guys to beat you in the passing game.

They did??? LOL...Damn! I must have been a sleep! For the record, Ball State had 72 yards of total offense at the half....I am almost certain that our First string defense will play more than a half and two series against TN......

Well you might have been "a sleep" (never seen that separated into two separate words), but they ran for 150 yds against you, and Noel Devine had a career high against you. So, quit being a complete idiot and pretending that Auburn has a stout running defense.

Come on man you guys may win this game, but your D is not a SEC D this year. I think anybody can see that. You are giving up 30 points to a 0-4 ball state team. The Vols held the Gators to 23 points. They could have scored 60 against Kentucky and they will score 50 against Chavis. So your D is not up to the vols level. If Auburn wins this game great, but you know in a few years there will be a clear difference in Tennessee's talent and Auburn's. Auburn is not recruiting like they did when Tuberville was there. It will be like the end of the Bowden years...no talent. I never even thought twice about Auburn till Tuberville started recruiting. Go to rivals and scout and see how long you think you guys will compete. LSU and Bama are going to eat your D for lunch every year, unless Chizik can recruit better. That is what happen to Phil.

in recruiting, we finished 13th in the nation last year. We are currently ranked 12th...with more players to come. This is nothing like bowden.

Rivals has you guys at 17 right now and Scout has you at 23.

Last year, you guys finished 16th according to Scout and 19th according to Rivals.

This number is inflated by WVU's horribleness. They turned it over 6 times, while no other team gave them more than 2. WVU also turned the ball over 4 times last night vs. Colorado, and 4 times vs. East Carolina. I wouldn't give Auburn too much credit here.

Moron! Maybe you need to know the facts!! He said the Ball State game!! Against the First String Defense they had 72 yards the whole first half!!!!!! And Noel Deving only had 120 some odd yards.....That was not his career high! So if you are going to spout crap out, know what you are talking about!!!:salute:

Dude, You are misunderstanding what I am trying to say.....Everybody on here is talking about how horrible our defense is and how TN is going to run all over us! We have faced better backs than what TN has! We have faced Noel Devine and Dixon from Mississippi State! I know you all are not going to agree that they are better but that is my honest opinion! And we won both games!! Y'all act like you are the best team we have faced! The only way this game even scares me is because it is on the road! If it was out our house or on a neutral site, I wouldn't even be bothered!! I just worry about how our team will respond on the road...I will give it to you all that your defense is the best we have played but I also will say that your offense is the worse we have faced too!!! I would put up Ball State's offense against y'alls!

I'll save this one till after the game. Noel Devine is a Scat back and West Virginia is pitiful this year. MSU's Dixon couldn't carry Hardesty's jock strap. You've played 4 creampuff teams and it will show on Saturday night.

Recruiting rankings are over rated! See Boise State and Utah! They never have a top 50 class and continue to win every year! This is what the spread will do! It is the great equalizer! But I guarantee that this coaching staff down at Auburn will not sit back and let the talent get away! Auburn has never, never out recruited Alabama in the state of Alabama! We have always had to go outside of the state but as of right now, we have 5 of the top prospects in the state committed to us and one more that is committed to Bama (Corey Grant) that I believe will change his committment and go to Auburn! These guys are working! Even when Bama was in the dumps they was getting the cream of the crop in the state!!! And by the way, we just had one Wed change his committment from Bama to Auburn! They are working their butts off!

Don't get your drawers in a wad because some UT fans, on a UT site, think they will win the game. Did you think we were gonna give you UF respect? You basically had the same type season we did last year.

My take:

Tennessee has a very good defense and running game, not so great QB.
Auburn has a decent defense and equally good running game, with a lot better QB.

Malzah and Kiffin will be at it all night trying to out scheme each others plays.

If Auburn scores more than 28 points, we win
If not, we lose.

Never understood that...But in case you didn't know Auburn has one of the best Engineering schools.
Alabama even hired them to do the expansion on Bryant-Denny Stadium, and if you have been there, it is pretty nice! :neener:
