Keys to beating the Gators

Agree. If they can get this monkey off their back, it could change everything.
You're exactly right Hoss. Look at what it did for us in 98. A win this Sat would give this team a confidence and swagger we haven't seen in a very long time. Teams with that edge win a bunch of games.

Play the way we are capable and this game is over before the 4th quarter starts. They will struggle to move the ball, much less score

If we don't beat the Gators with them playing a backup at QB and a lineman out for a half at home then Butch and crew need to just ......... Well, you get my point.

The team has to look at this game as do or die. It may only be one game but it is also THE game. We need this win as a fan base more than any other from a psychological standpoint. 12 in a row would simly be devastating on every level.

I completely agree! After 3 games I've let go of the lofty goals I had before the season and accept that a win over UF will be the highlight of the season for me. Any other win over UGA or Bama or A&M or Mizzou would just be icing on the cake.

VFL34, LWS, or anyone else in the know- what is the psyche of the team right now? 3-0 with a monumental game coming up all the attention on us to see if we can finally end this damn streak. But we have looked out of sorts this year so far- undisciplined, sloppy, commuting more penalties than I can ever remember under Butch, team looks to have regressed tremendously since January. Now we are down several key players for our SEC opener. How do the players overcome this? Do they care- because sometimes they play like they could care less. Also, how does Butch handle this game? He coaches tighter than any coach I have ever seen and that means the players are tight too- not good for a game of this magnitude. Does he finally open up the playbook and let the players play?

Though I'm not one in the know, I think it's a pretty good bet the team is plenty excited and looking forward to Saturday.

For an athlete, this kind of game is what motivates you. Competition on the national stage is like a spotlight is to an entertainer. Whether you are an active participant or a walk-on used on practice teams, this has to be an exciting week of preparation and anticipation for them.

I more interested to see who lines up across from Malone. Obviously hes our only consistent threat so it has to be Tabor but who knows.

That is a cringe-worthy excellent addendum to those keys.

every time I think about I throw up in my mouth a little bit. I get that its a blown assignment but you've got to cover better than that.

Im hoping that Shoop drills this into their heads all week.

both fan bases are probably thinking the same thing. How will our offense fair against their defense. Our offense has been inconsistent at times with poor Oline play. With a back up QB Florida will wonder how an already enimic offense looks without their best signal caller.

Keys to beating Florida:

Don't be Tennessee. Or Kentucky.

Everything else is even.

We also need the crowd to be loud and disrupt Floridas offense. I didnt think we were that loud the first two game (granted it was the app state and ohio game). Even if we go down early, we still need to be loud and keep our boys in the game.

Get heat on appleby---he'll get rattled, take sacks, and throw 2-3 interceptions, at least 1 pick 6.

I'm predicting a win. But if we go 0-12, fans are going to take twelve years of anger out on CBJ. I'd like to point out fans, that Butch will only have been responsible for 4 of them (0-4, so only give him four years worth of anger. Not 12, it's just not right

Same type of agressive game plan as last year.. Well executed till the final gun. No sitting on lead this time
