If we don't beat this Florida team, we may never. They are not very good. From what I've seen of Franks (admittedly limited) he'd be third on OUR depth chart.
A win against UF...even a bad UF team...will move CJP up a few notches of respect from me. Credit where due to any coach who beats Florida.Even if we "dominate" and "impose our will" on Florida, there are those who will poo-poo the victory by saying Florida sucked. Its as inevitable as dusk to dawn.
LOLDon't forget we also need to pack Neyland and be as loud as possible from start to finish. (ok we can take a break at halftime)
Remember. The louder we are the tougher it is for Florida to get in rhythm and harder for their players to hear the play calls or audibles from the QB.
Us as fans used to always cause offenses to screw up, cause delay of games false starts, etc etc.
The players also feed their energy off of ours. So we need to get Neyland rockin and send those gators back to the swamps with a big L
I’ve watched every UF game this year and here’s what I think we need to do to win (which we absolutely have a chance to do).
1. Establish the run to setup the pass. So far this year, Florida has been inconsistent stopping the run and the pass. If we can run the ball, their secondary is not the lock down secondary it used to be. See what CSU is doing to them.
2. Special teams has to step up. We haven’t seen much from that unit this year. We may need field goals and good returns to sway the odds in our favor.
3. Pressure Franks. To be brutally honest, he isn’t good at all. If we can pressure him, we have a good shot.
4. + Turnover margin. Plain and simple, we need to take the ball away while protecting it.
5. Involve the RB’s in the passing game. We have literally done zero of this so far. Get them involved and watch our playmakers shine.
Everyone is all doom and gloom the past two weeks, and sort of rightfully so. I think our guys come out with a different energy level next week and we see a different team.[/QUOTE
1) Completely replace the offensive line with ex NFL players
2) Tell Kongbi and Phillips that it isn’t a penalty to tackle the quarterback
3) Replace the db’s with other db’s who utilize the full capacity of their neck muscles by turning around occasionally when the ball is coming towards them
4) Replace the linebackers with players who can tackle and cover a forward pass in space occasionally
5) Hire an OC with actual experience
6) Find a wr that can actually get open and catch a pass
7) Put said wr on special teams
Other than the aforementioned steps we have no chance against UF or any other team in the SEC except maybe Arkansas but we don’t play them unfortunately
What? Three games into his first season following a guy who couldn't develop players and you don't think he's the "guy"?Fify. Pruitt is looking like he isn’t the guy.
I could care less about the poo-poo crowd, you can't win with them. If we win they say florida sucks, if we lose they say we can't beat a terrible florida team. We need to win and it's a big SEC game. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!Even if we "dominate" and "impose our will" on Florida, there are those who will poo-poo the victory by saying Florida sucked. Its as inevitable as dusk to dawn.
I'm obviously very hopeful for next week, but it seems we're trying too hard to rationalize ways we're going to win games, much like early last year.I’ve watched every UF game this year and here’s what I think we need to do to win (which we absolutely have a chance to do).

Nah, he'll be ok. He knows his stuff and has good staff. Though all this is painful, I think turning around teams is harder than all of us think. Turning around a UGA team loaded with talent, who never really fell on hard times is different than teams like UT, NEB, UCLA, ARK, etc, etc.Fify. Pruitt is looking like he isn’t the guy.
