I’ve watched every UF game this year and here’s what I think we need to do to win (which we absolutely have a chance to do).

1. Establish the run to setup the pass. So far this year, Florida has been inconsistent stopping the run and the pass. If we can run the ball, their secondary is not the lock down secondary it used to be. See what CSU is doing to them.

2. Special teams has to step up. We haven’t seen much from that unit this year. We may need field goals and good returns to sway the odds in our favor.

3. Pressure Franks. To be brutally honest, he isn’t good at all. If we can pressure him, we have a good shot.

4. + Turnover margin. Plain and simple, we need to take the ball away while protecting it.

5. Involve the RB’s in the passing game. We have literally done zero of this so far. Get them involved and watch our playmakers shine.

Everyone is all doom and gloom the past two weeks, and sort of rightfully so. I think our guys come out with a different energy level next week and we see a different team.

Even if we "dominate" and "impose our will" on Florida, there are those who will poo-poo the victory by saying Florida sucked. Its as inevitable as dusk to dawn.

Totally agree with the different energy level and different team. WV game was too many new things against a quality opponent, last 2 were scrimmages, now it counts big time. I don't think we've seen all the bells and whistles yet either. We have a good chance.

Only thing I don't agree with. Our special team has a block punt and really good punt/punt coverage. I guess they could step up and score every time FLA punts to us and return every kickoff for a TD

Florida, once again, has an excellent field goal kicker...must stop them from getting into field goal range. Florida is also good at returning punts. It’s not just about our punt coverage and 1 block...much more than that

Are you sure, after all we've only beat Florida some 5 times in almost 30 years, just saying, askin

I watched Florida against Colorado State and wasn't that impressed. Now they might look like world beaters against the Vols as they normally do but being honest they are fairly average.

Pray for rain. A soggy field will slow them down. A ground and pound game may give us a chance.

Expect a screen pass to Chandler a time or 2. I think our D is currently better than Fls O and I think both our running game and passing offense is better than Fls O. Turnovers, mistakes, missed calls, big plays, line of scrimmage... I do agree, Pruitt is great and the great ones shine when they have too. Fl is a must win in order for us to have a good to big year and Pruitt knows it! Atmosphere will be electric and I think Kirkland, Bituli, JG and Chandler all have dominating performances! I think Pruitt turns the linebackers loose vs Florida and they respond in dominating fashion! We'll know soon enough!

If we don't beat this Florida team, we may never. They are not very good. From what I've seen of Franks (admittedly limited) he'd be third on OUR depth chart.

I think its as simple as saying if the OL is consistent in the run game opening up joles up the middle instead of the backs getting contacted at the LOS, and if the front 7 can generate enough pressure to make Franks rush his throws and get a couple of key sacks, they win. Very little Im asking for to consider it a W. However, seriously doubt it'll happen. JG is going to have to carry the team unfortunately.
