Keys To Beating Alabama

Fastest Bama D I think I have seen in years.

I was here tonight at the Arky/Bama game and you are so right. Their DBs get to the ball faster than any I've seen in a good while. The key will be protecting Dobbs long enough to make good reads and find the open man. Bama's D forced Allen into terrible throws all night.

If we don't turn the ball over we have a very good chance of beating them. If you look at the big picture we had our way with A&M's defense (which is very good) but the TOs cost us a lot of points.

I mean if we get two of the four red zone fumbles back alone we win because at the least we would have come away with a field goal.

We still haven't played a complete game. Hold on to the ball and play for 4 quarters. If we do that we have a chance.

Shoop was hired to beat Florida and Bama. Injuries are going to be a mess for us on defense. Our offense for the most part is going to be complete. Offense has to be flawlsss and run the clock, constantly. Defense doesn't have to play great, but I think we need a minimum of 5 Bama punts to hang in there.

Arkansas scored most of its points when the game was way out of hand. Most defenses relax when they are ahead--especially defenses with a lot of young players and especially young defensive backs. We will probably need to score a LOT of points--definitely in the 30s, if not more--to win this game, IMO. There are two good offenses, so it comes down to which team can play a little defense, along with turnovers, which killed us in this game.

All of our turnovers are on tape. Bama will find a way to exploit that.

We're super banged up.

Bama is healthy and hitting their stride.

To quote Han Solo "I have a bad feeling about this"

1. No Turnovers
2. Pressure on the QB
3. More Kamara
4. Jalen Hurd's health

Zero turnovers, no shirt defense and start with a lead.

We will not turn the ball over next week and Jalen Hurts is going to turn the ball over a couple times. He has no idea what he is about to face in Neyland. He will struggle.

Must find a way to keep the receivers in front of them. They will be throwing the long ball all night. Must out fox the weasel.

No turnovers, defense plays the game of their lives, and we take advantage of the passing game and we have a good shot. Defense is going to have to step it up. And I don't think we will get anywhere running the ball against them. Our receivers need to get some action, and if they hang on to the football, I think we might be in business.
