Kevin Wilson for OC

So all of the media outlets are saying "philosophical differences"...is that code to help protect both IU and Wilson???

As far as taking him as OC...H-E-double hockey sticks YES !!!
First thing the guy did at Indiana was build an O-line...one that likely has on it the first guard going to be taken in the draft and a first round tackle too.

I'll never forget during my senior year of high school at West Canaan in Texas, the night our team revolted against our head coach, Bud Kilmer. He was a legend and had a statue next to the field but he was pushing players to take cortisone shots to get back in games and it was a safety issue. Ended up, our backup QB stood up to him and gave him the choice to walk away with his dignity during halftime of a tough game. It was almost like something out of Hollywood. Our senior starting QB, who was out for the season, took over the play calling and coached the team to a win. It was a great lesson in that even legendary coaches like Bud Kilmer can't abuse players. He walked out of that locker room at halftime and was never seen again in West Canaan.

Might want to wait and find out why he's been fired before touting him for OC.

Looks like he resigned. He and the school say "philosophical differences."

Although on the other hand, it looks like there's a lawsuit possibly from a former player(s?) going on:

At issue are allegations made by what ESPN says are “at least five current IU players,” who were asked by the school’s athletic department and lawyers about Wilson’s conduct.

Specific details about who was interviewed and what was said remain murky, although according to the university’s student newspaper, a former player alleged Wilson has forced players to play with injuries.

Either way, hope Indiana enjoyed these two bowl games; because they're likely going back to being a 2 win team.

He is too old, game has passed him by
He is overweight, we would call him Phat.....
He cannot beat Urban, do not lay the talent card
His players do not like the system they signed up in.....
He uses coach speak.......that is upsetting

If he differs in any way from how Butch himself would run the offense, Butch won't hire him.

Butch has only had 2 offensive coordinators - Bajakian (who was with him for years) and his personal friend DeBord. At least on the offensive side of the ball, he won't hire someone who will do anything differently from how he would do it.
His scheme and DC are fine... he needs to hire some real position coaches.
