High school coaches whom I respect think Pruitt is a reach at best. Hope they're wrong. prospt from colquitt county ga , who is about to win another championship, might be on the staff. Praying this hire isn't a debacle.

He's one of the best recruiters in the nation which means he has built strong relationships with high school coaches across the South and beyond and he is highly respected. I would say the coaches to which you are referring probably have yet to meet Jeremy Pruitt.

Yep, I think people have to keep in mind that UT was the absolute BOTTOM of the SEC this past year. It's a long climb up from there.

He’s a good coach but wasn’t that good of a recruiter

Actually he was alright with DEs it’s just DTs was really bad even with a bunch of kids getting drafted off the DL over the last 5 or 6 years he couldn’t land any stud DTs at all that’s been a huge problem the last couple classes

For that reason I can’t say I’d miss him much but I know players liked him and he really is a solid coach and developer

Read this as I am watching the SEC Inside showing Georgia winning the SEC title putting them into the CFP. Hard to get all that "butthurt" over losing the LB coach. He's a good coach and recruiter so yes, you guys are getting a good addition to the staff but to talk about being butthurt over it might be overplaying your hand.
