O'Neill recruited Tony Harris from the moment he arrived in Knoxville. Kevin knew exactly what he would have been getting.
Saw a clip on the news after Harris signed with Tennessee. A reporter asked O'Neill if Harris would play much as a freshman. O'Neill said "He's gonna play til he pukes"...

Harris signed with UT because he saw what Kevin did with the guards he worked with at Arizona and how he elevated Tony Miller's game at Marquette. He only played for Green because UT made it clear they weren't giving him a release.

Funny you say that because newsweek has University of Denver and UT tied in national university rankings. I do know they have a wicked lacrosse team

Women's and men's hockey, as well, if I'm not mistaken. I think I also heard their skiing team was good too.

This thread makes me want to pull out my "Hoop Dreams" VHS...I haven't seen that movie in years.

U.S. News and World Report also has got the U. of Denver (along with UT) tied with Auburn University, the University of Alabama and stalwarts Howard University, the University of Missouri-Columbia, the University of Tulsa, and the University of Vermont.
University of Denver - Rankings

Although they're fine universities none of the above universities are in the same league as UT. Auburn does not even have a medical school or a law school. The University of Tulsa has no medical school.

Shows how much they (i.e. U.S. News and World Report) know.

New Glocker, academic requirements going up, smartest freshman class ever, and Senators and Representatives being elected: we should rise next year.

But they probably rate it by how many northeastern high schoolers apply to the school.
