The reason anyone says “it’s Friend” is the same reason the decent looking girl in school says”I’m ugly.” It’s for sympathy. They want someone to say “no, your pretty. You’ll get a name coach.”

It’s not going to be Friend!

If I’m wrong........sorry.

My buddy lives in Knoxville and he says the word around campus is that Pruitt wants out and may take the Temple job. It's just getting too hot at UT and the pressure seems to be getting to him. It's just a rumor, but you never know how these things will pan out. It's going to be a rough couple of weeks for vol fans regardless because I heard that Trey is going to transfer to Vanderbilt to be closer with his family. People are saying he is ready to play again but Pruitt refuses to let him, so he plans on playing at the premier Tennessee college football school. Well, that's what i heard at Cookout on the strip at least. Stay strong vols, it looks like we'll need it.

But can you confirm that Trey was in Nashville and Pruitt was.........where ever Temple is? Cause thats what this thread is all about.

He definitely isn't struggling. He's had to wait for the NFL season to end as well as bowl season ending. He easily could have hired an OC by now but isn't rushing the hire. He will make a good/great hire, that's not even remotely close to being a concern.

But several oc's have been hired by other schools. And you are right about one thing for sure. He isn't rushing the hire.

Some of this sounds a little overdramatic/trollish, but is a possibility. Wife's family is in Philly area and apparently she wants to be closer to family with her dad having medical issues. Couldn't blame the Pruitts and it would suck restarting, but I'd be ok going with a more offensive HC.

If absolutely any of that is actually true, especially the part about Pruitt, then we as a football program are truly screwed.

The last time I've seen so much blind faith in an HC hire we ended up with a swim coach as the OC. I'll remain neutral, I have no reason to optimistic or negative at this point. CJP has a few more weeks maybe before the mood spoils around here. If he finishes with a lackluster recruiting class and makes a questionable hire it will be a tough 12 months for him. Hoping for the best though

Word on the hill is that this guys name has surfaced some how. I didn’t know until just now, but anyhow, it’s gotten interesting on campus. What do you guys think?

At this point, who knows
Just another Tennessee coaching search, unfortunately......who will take the Job?

Seems to me like the "they're just waiting for the season to end" has ran well past it's prime. We have 12 NFL teams left playing, and odds are if they are playoff worthy, they aren't looking to shed their OC. I couldn't begin to tell you why anyone left on Bama or Clemson's staff would leave to take this job instead of wait out where they are for an in-house promotion next season. This is beginning to turn into a "they don't know who they are going to hire" feeling, which is going to get extremely frustrating, especially losing a bidding war to Ohio State when we could have offered the guy 250k a year more than they are paying him. I look at Houston and they wrestled away a successful P5 coach from West Virginia, FSU cleared whatever demons they were concerned with and hired Kendal Briles, Auburn swooped in quickly and got Dillingham.... do we not have anyone on campus that has a "take over" mentality? Or maybe said more appropriately to the culture, can anyone GIT-R-DONE?

We’re conducting interviews for the next 12 months in order to be first in the 2019-2020 carousel. Helton will call plays for this coming season from Western Kentucky via Skype.

Wonder what hill the OP is getting the word from?
Texas....odd, I had an OC analyst out of Texas (Texas State University) start following me the other day on twitter. Wondered why then, and still do seeing how most everything on my page is TN related
Texans confuse their UT and the real UT a lot.

You know, I don’t have the slightest clue, and even though all of these names that keeps popping up, I trust Pruitt 100% to get this done.
