Man that sucks. A Tennessee kid. Why the hell not wait a couple of days and see who’s chosen as the coach. Just makes no sense. Go sit out a guy you idiot instead of starting in the sec next year under a new coach

I believe they can transfer without penalty this year.

Loads of playing time available next season and no Pruitt coaching the DBs, one has to wonder what is the driver in his decision?

No. The blanket exemption was for 2020 and the NCAA has tabled consideration of the one time transfer until the whole image licensing issue is settled. He may apply for a waiver but we're all familar with how long that process can take.

An unfortunate aside to this is the NCAA will let these kids transfer if the school is coming under sanctions. All they have to do these days is get a good lawyer to say they were lied to or whatever else. See Ole Miss. Just let them go and start over.

He probably doesn't care who the coach is. Sanctions are coming and that's likely enough to push players away.
