Kentucky opens at -5.5 over UT

I've been done with him for years, and even I think this is crazy. I might actually put a little down on the Vols.

Were you really that surprised?

Kentucky, by their standards, is much better because they hired good coaching all around.

Not to mention their talent has gotten better.

Don't be surprised if this trend continues.

Why do people keep thinking this? Even by our standards, people are constantly complaining about Stoops and the OC/DCs (we've went through multiple ones in the last few years). Stoops is exactly like Butch in a lot of ways. He recruits well for the job but on gameday he makes a lot of stupid mistakes.

No need to feel alone here Little Cat. You have so-called Vol fans pulling for you guys to win.

"Let's go wildcats then. If Butch can save his job by winning all remaining games then I can't possibly get behind him. I know it sounds ridiculous, but if he is retained next year we will have another year of this crap".

When placing your wagers gentlemen remember UT beats UK in football 99.9 % of the times.
Obviously UT's offense is horrid, but KY is beginning to look like KY standards as they normally do in the second half of the season.

Looking at our remaining schedule it is hard to see a bowl game in our future. We need 3 more wins to get bowl eligible and we have
KY
Southern Miss
Mizzou
LSU
Vanderbilt

Southern Miss looks like a win but we are not beating LSU.

That leaves KY, Mizzou and Vandy to get 2 wins. Of those 3 teams KY looks to be the toughest. With that said I remember at the end of the Dooley era KY broke the streak with a WR running the wildcat all night. We lost because the team had quit on Dooley. So far this team has not quit on Butch so KY is winnable, even on the road.

Mizzou can score some points but our D has looked decent as long as they come to play. The question here is can we score a TD on offense?

Vandy would love nothing better than for us to need that win to get a bowl game (and them be spoilers). I would like us to win 3 before we get to them so we are not put in a must win situation.

Call me a sunshine pumper if you will but I think JG is going to lead the team to 3 wins and a bowl game. I do not care if/when Butch goes. I only care that this team stays together and plays like a team. They can fire Butch before the end of the season or not, I have moved on already. I only care about the team and the next recruiting class, which is already taking hits.

GBO - beat the Wildcats!

That fact that we're having to debate the possibility of a bowl game or not, based off of potentially losing to Kentucky, is very sad.

Win one of UK/Mizzou

Many probably don't care, but for the team going to a bowl means more practice time, which they clearly need.

It is ridiculous that we even have to have this discussion.

That Jones has brought us to the point that wins against KY and Vanderbilt aren't foregone conclusions shows how lousy a job he has done and why he needs to be shown the door pronto.

No surprise. Vegas watches the games lol.

We haven't scored an offensive touchdown in 14 quarters

10 of those were in Neyland

4 were against a team Kentucky beat in Columbia

Except at MS State Kentucky has looked better than us on both sides of the baall

I think we can keep it close or even have a lead at halftime due to our defense but in the second half when our defense is winded from being on the field they should be able to pull away

I would not be surprised to see this line inch up to be honest given the state and attitudes within our program right now coupled with utter offensive futility.

The Vols travel to Lexington to take on the Wildcats of Kentucky and enter the game some -5.5pt underdog.

Will Butch Have mercy on the Wildcats or will he run up the score?
